Hi everyone! Sorry if this has been asked but I searched and could not find anything.

Dh and I were trying to figure out the fastest and best way to pay off our future 200 point contract. We were hoping to do the 50% down and the 1 year financing but realized no incentive is given when done this way according to the papaerwork DVC sent us...is this correct?

Is there a way to put 50% down but still get the incentive? Like finance the remaining balance for 5 years but pay more towards the principal? Thanks for any help or advice.:goodvibes

I assume you're looking at the financing info that DVC hands out which doesn't show any incentive on the 50% down option. This is not the case we just purchased and put down in excess of 50% and received $10pp off at SSR. We purchased 225 points in two contracts, 175 & 50 and also received the 160 developer points with a referral. The contact will be written as $104pp and you will have to put down 50% of that, the $10pp incentive is then applied toward the downpayment.

To answer the other part of your question, it is very easy to pay additional principal. You can do that right on the member site. I have been doing that and will definitely be paying my financing off early. There is also no
pre-payment penalty with DVC.

Likewise, if you peel off enough bills out of a wad of money and pay on the spot, you won't get any better deal than someone who finances most of the purchase. You just get to save the interest fees.

phew- thank you so much! you guys have put us at ease! I didn't think they could penalize for paying more up front lol!
