We have no hot water and haven't since yesterday when we returned to our room about 8pm. They were aware of the issue when I called last evening. Just called again at 6am and Engineering sounded 'surprised' about the hot water issue.

Wondering if it's just our floor or area (3rd floor) or if the entire building is affected. We are not happy campers right now. It's been very humid and we all need a shower.:crazy2:

Not exactly sure what you mean by "hot" water but with our numerous stays at BCV, we have never really had "hot" water in the shower. It's warm enough but never truly has been hot. We pretty regularly stay on the second floor.

Hot, the opposite of cold. :confused3

We've always had hot showers at BCV, right now the water is icy cold.

I would walk down to the front desk, ask for a manager, get their name, and let them know that you are not happy. Often the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing.

:earsboy: Bill

Who did you call? If you call the front desk you get a call center. If you haven't already done so, call maintenance (there is a dedicated button on the phone for maintenance) and then follow up with a visit to the front desk.

I hope this gets fixed soon!

Didn't have to go the front desk, it was finally warm enough to take a shower about 9:30am. It's now back to normal. Glad we didn't have plans for the morning.

Took quite awhile (like 5 minutes) for our water to warm up when we were at BCV (also on the 3rd floor, if that matters) a few weeks ago.

I am glad it came back on and I too think no hot water for over 12 hours is unacceptable. I would write DVCMembersatisfaction.com when you get home.

I didn't think that comment was nasty at all. I was also wondering how else you could explain "hot."
The line of thought felt odd, but I'm guessing they were wondering if this was a "ran out of hot water in the heater" issue or a complete shut down. Some people may be happy with 100 degree hot, while others want 140+ degree hot.
(For prevention of Legionaires disease, OSHA recommends a 140 degree water heater minimum with a minimum 122 degree temp at a faucet)

There have been some threads here when a guests says a room set at 74 as being hot, so the A/C is "broken" while others would set their A/C at 76.

OMG, I was at BCV, on the third floor, last week, and a cold shower would be awful! I did notice that morning showers weren't as hot as later in the day, but cold? No fun! Hope things get better.

No need for the nasty comment.. We are not the cause of your hot water problems!

Wasn't nasty at all. Hence the :confused3 confused smiley.

But thanks for reminding me why I stopped posting on the Disboards. And no, I'm not being nasty, I'm being honest.

:hippie:Peace

Thanks for the well wishes on the hot water issue. We are home now but this mornings shower was pretty chilly too so they must still have a problem.
Thunderstorm on Wednesday caused the power to go out for a few minutes which was probably the reason for the hot water problem.

Thanks, I agree and plan on writing to Member Satisfaction and the Beach Club as soon as I've unpacked.

Hi Candlelady ... Your friend Pirate Granny here....hope you are doing well, and wondered why I haven't seen you post lately

At BCV about 1-1/2 years ago, we were out of hot/warm water for about 6 hours. I went down to talk to the Manager at the Front Desk and nicely asked if, for our troubles, we could have late checkout. No problem. Stayed til 4:00 in time for the Magical Express.

Pirate Granny! Good to hear from you. I am doing well and hope you are the doing the same.
Yes, I stopped posting for quite a while. Too many looking for fights and I don't have the time for such nonsense.

Missed you in the hot tub this week!
We ate and drank way too much but enjoyed every minute of it. :drinking1Can't wait to go back, hopefully with the grands.

How have you been?

Awesome way to wait for the ME bus.:thumbsup2
If we were staying any longer and the issue wasn't corrected, I would have requested a room change. Hopefully whoever got room 327 has hot water now.
