No hoppers? - anything I'm not considering?

In your situation I wouldn't pay the extra cost to hop. We have APs and the ability to hop on a whim; and while we have, on short trips we really don't. I actually think the FP system for WOC and F! makes it less worth it. Chances are you'll grab FP for the nighttime show of the park you're in during the day. On our last trip, we planned our nighttime entertainement for the park we were in that day.

Like you, we like the ability to hop later in our trip as we're trying to hit the must do's - but as you said, the Halloween party tickets cover that for you. On a longer trip, I'd probably suggest upgrading.

I'd totally upgrade it! I can't believe you don't use Park Hoppers at Disney World tho! I used to think it was kinda stupid to park hop at DW but one day I decided to purchase it just for the heck of it and it was AMAZING. You have to believe me, it's like you strech your Disney vacation!

I think you'll be fine without hoppers! As long as the nighttime entertainment works out for you, then I think it will be fine! ENJOY your trip!

It sounds like you have a good plan in place. I do have to say that we never get hoppers at WDW anymore but I ALWAYS do at DL. You can literally see the gate of one from the other and once you are in the plaza you have been through bag check so it's so easy and such a short walk between. We are big Soarin fans and we frequently will hop over at the beginning or end of the day to just go on Soarin. We also tend to eat a few meals in DTD so that makes hopping that much easier too.
