Hi there we are arriving Oct 12 09 and cant make resies until July 14 09 however disney dining informed me that La Cellier is already booked :scared1: does anyone know if they take walk up reservations? i really want to go!

Keep trying the on-line reservations several times daily you never know when something will pop up. I had great success on Ohana after checking daily for over a month finally got the time I wanted. ;)

I would also recommend checking online daily and worse case scenerio try walking up if you have to. Things open up, so keep trying.
Good Luck.

Disclaimer - this worked three nights in a row last week (every time I tried). I've been wanting to test it again, but haven't been up that late. I'd love to get some feedback on whether this works for others!

First of all, it appears that not all of the ADR's for specific date are available for booking 90+10. Additional ADRs always seem to become available 90 days from the actual date you're trying to book.

HOWEVER, 90+10 still has an advantage in getting the ADR.

In the evening around 10 or 10:30 PM Pacific the system takes down the most current date (for example, today is 90 days from 10/6/09, but later tonight 10/6 will disappear for about an hour or an hour and a half). 10/6 will return to the calendar sometime between 11PM and 12:30AM Pacific.

HERE IS THE TRICK: Although 10/7 will not "unlock" on the calendar until 6AM Eastern tomorrow, the additional ADR's for 10/7 appear (again, based on my three day trial) to become available as soon as 10/6 returns to the calendar. Thus, if you can use your resort reservation to unlock 10/7 immediately after 10/6 comes back onto the calendar tonight - you will probably find availability for LC.

Good Luck and let me know how it goes.

Keep calling and hoping for an opening. Seriously this is one tough cookie to get into so make sure to have a plan B.

I have been told that its harder to get into than CRT. I know in past trips I have held ADRs for CRT but was unable to get Les Cel until a last minute hail mary.

Chances are slim you will get in while free dining is going on. I am not sure on the exact dates of free dining or if your dates match it but if so..watch out LOL

Not trying to be a downer ~ just trying to be realistic. Keep trying but don't hold your breath.

Walk-ups are a possibility elsewhere a lot of the time, but I don't think I'd bother heading over to check it out at LeCellier. It's so small and busy there, and they seem to get backed up a lot of the time. I wouldn't bother, but I WOULD check it out online daily till you go, or try that thing above!!!

Good luck!

.

I agree! I was able to get better times on the 90th day than the 90+10 days on many of my ressies! Keep trying and you may get lucky!

Try calling 90 days before the date you actually want. And definitely keep trying online if you don't have any success. Keep your times flexible, lunch is as good as dinner here. Maybe even try from your resort phone the morning when you want to go, and if all else fails - walk up to see if they have any open reservations as early as you can. Just don't let it make or break your vacation:)

Good luck!

When you're 90 days from your arrival date, you can unlock and book for the rest of your stay (up to 10 days) by putting in your resort reservation number.

Ok what is this 90+10 Thing?

On site guests can book 10 days worth of reservations on the 90th day out from their check-in date, off-site guests do not get this 10 day advantage and have to call (or go online) and book each day of their trip individually on the 90th day out from the reservation they want.

If you are still more than 90 days from making your reservations, how are the restaurants booked? I thought they wouldn't accept reservations more than 90 days out??

They won't. But others arriving before the OP and staying on-site have had up to 10 days to book the day he/she wants already.

For example, her trip starts October 12th, so she can't book until July 14.

Someone who's trip is starting October 3, for example, has been able to book since July 5. So all those people have already taken all the ADRs for Le Cellier at this point.

Don't give up trying to call, things happen and people call and cancel there resi that they have. I did I had a vacation planned from July 14th -22nd and I had 2 resi for Le cellar and I cancelled both of them (my dad had a heart attack) both resi were for 4 people both at 6pm one on a saturday and another on a Wed

so keep trying you never know!!!

What she said ^
You stand a better chance at getting a table at a hard to get place if you place it as far back on your trip as possible.
Example would be my Chef Mickeys dinner... I moved it to the very last day of our 11 day stay and was able to book the dinner with no problems. Had I tried to make the ADR for our first night... there would have been no way we would have gotten in :lmao:

I was able to book Les Cel for dinner but we will be eating on day 9 of our stay... that was the only time I could get it and that was with the 90+10

We had lunch at LeCellier in June and they WERE accepting walk-ups. I couldn't believe my eyes! Before that trip, I would have advised you to not even try to walk-up, but after seeing 6 continuously empty tables during our lunch that day, I say go for it! :) BTW, our ADR's were at 12:10pm and we were finished at 1:10pm, so it's not as if we saw empty tables near closing time.

Thanks for all the info, does anyone else think that it is unfair with the 90+10 rule I do!

fair
Its marketing for Disney...enticing guest to stay on property. Universal has the free front of the line pass they give out to their resort guest. Disney gives the EMH's and 90+10

For some, they are stuck on property 24/7 and if they can't get into eat~ they starve LOL
for those who stay off property, they have the ability to hit some place close to their hotel off property.

Unfair to whom?

You pay to stay on Disney property, you get perks that off-site guests don't get. So it's not unfair to off-site guests in my opinion, you get extras by staying on-property (and it usually costs more too).

And if you meant because one guest gets to book before another (all on-site) - keep in mind that 2nd guest has a booking advantage over the guest that arrives after them, and THAT guest ends up with a booking advantage over one who arrives after they do, etc.

But the +10 is one of the enticements for people to stay on-site.
