No Hollywood Studios availability for 3 days in October

The WDW availability calendar has been consistenly green for more than 60 days out, so I was surprised this morning to see Hollywood Studios not available for 3 days in October (10, 11, and 13).

Just a heads-up for October visitors who thought they had plenty of time to make their park reservations.

Park hours aren't even available for October yet. I thought ressies couldn't be made until the hours are available. There must be some special events going on in the Studios on those days.

No, you can make park reservations as soon as you have tickets. I see the calendar up to Jan 18, 2024

Still, for the park to be unavailable after July 4th, there must be something special happening.

10/10 is Columbus Day. It's a busy week as many schools schedule their fall break for that time. Repeat guests know to schedule early, although I would expect more reservations to open as it gets closer later.

Interesting. October 12 turned from green to yellow sometime within the past hour and a half.

10th, 11th & 13th are all MNSSHP nights at MK so maybe people without tickets for it are deciding to go DHS instead? Or people with tickets are going DHS in the morning then going MK with their party tickets.

I agree. Over the years, I’ve noticed that MK is less crowded on party days and DHS is more crowded on those days. I typically would make my plans to do MK on a party day (then park hop) and DHS on non-party days because more people will be at MK.

Prior months are all green... but October has 4 days gone now (10th -13th). My tickets for Oct/Nov haven't showed up yet so I can't make a reservation yet. Yikes.

My AP doesn't expire until mid-July, and I have until August 20th to renew. I shouldn't have to renew now to make October ressies. This reservation system needs to go for AP holders and WDW hotel guests!

Coming home on Oct 9th and I have my park reservations but also wondering why HS is sold out for several days the next week already.

Ugh! Thanks for this thread. We’ll be there that week, and haven’t gotten tickets yet, so will ASAP.hope we can at least get Sunday and/ or Friday. Or will plan to park hop/ evening there. Yikes though!

you definitely can. I just made TPR's for length of stay for our January trip

We thought we were getting ahead of ourselves by having reservations for MK on Thanksgiving, but, I don't think we were now.

My trip is late October and I just set park reservations for all but the last day (the system said I don't have a ticket for that day... I sent an email letting them know).

Update: Ugh, I do this every time, book 7 days 6 nights -- last day doesn't get ticketed. What are you going to do before the flight? Too bad Mears Connect doesn't leave from Disney Springs

UGH - our APs expire Oct 13th and we arrive Oct 16th - I chatted with the AP line today and I have to wait until Aug 13th to renew my APs - and the system won't let me book park reservations without current APs...

I know I can renew "early" at 60 days prior but last year I was able to renew our passes in mid-April for our October trip and now that dates in October are filling up..

ARGH!!
