No Hawaii?

Am I the only one disappointed with the cruise offerings for the remainder of 2017? I honestly expected to see Hawaii-everyone talks about how wonderful the Hawaii cruises were and how very popular they were. Instead it seems to be more of the same. I can only see so much of the Bahamas and the Carib! I'd consider Europe but depending when you go you have to get your own transport to or from Europe after the cruise.

I am disappointed that Hawaii did not make the cut, but also it seems more of the same. We have conflicts with our normal cruising schedule and so I was also hoping to see Southern Caribbean towards the end of the year!

I'm glad I'm not alone CScott095! I realize there's a finite number of places to sail to but you have to shake it up once in a while! Well, I guess I'll wait for 2018.

Im disappointed also but not surprised there's no Hawaii. I was on the one way from Vancouver to Hawaii last year. DCL was almost giving the cruises away to cast members. To try to fill the ship and it still wasn't full. I heard the return trip was worst than the cruise I was on. I would of did a one way in a heartbeat. The prices were reasonable also.i think DCL round trips sold good back in 12 or whenever it was.

We're new to cruising, but a Hawaii cruise is definitely on our list. DH wants to start with DCL because we have loved our park vacations and know the cruise will be good. We're looking at a Carribean next October. I hope to do Alaska and a Mediterranean as those have always been on my list, hopefully that will give DCL a chance to resume Hawaii.

The discounts were crazy. This was cheapest cruise weve been on. It was also the best. Id love to do it again, but I doubt they will go back if they cant make money off it.

Yep don't know why it doesn't sell good. It was September and school just starts but you think they could fill the ship up with couples and home school kids.

It's hard not to compare every cruise to what I paid for this cruise. I know it was once in a lifetime deal, but I'm having a hard time erasing it from my brain when I look at cruise prices.

I thought about doing the cruise, but was hoping they could get the port down to one location. It's hard to start out flying out to HI and then back from Vancouver. The flights get ridiculously expensive.

Those Mexican cruises look tempting, I've always wanted to go to Cabo but again, it's during the school year...so I'll have to pass. To bad they don't have more selection of itineraries during peak seasons..but then again, the prices would probably be ridiculous.

Agreed! Especially since Zika is currently problematic in the Caribbean, but not in Hawaii. It would be great to have a tropical alternative in the Pacific.

What about the Canada cruises out of NY?
I like this cruise. There were actually three cruises I liked in the Fall the WBTA, the Canada Cruise and the PC cruise. The mexican Riviera although a 2 hour drive from home doesn't interest me. The ports are meh. The TA won out for price and itinerary. I can't find anything I like for our Spring cruise. Panama is priced to high in my opinion. There are no Caribbean cruises that interest me except maybe the San Juan to PC repo. The price is ok and I haven't been to Tortola. Alaska in May is another one, but again not sure I like the price.
We've cruised a lot on DCL. I guess I'm getting really fussy about where I go and how much I pay.

How cheap were they? Our first cruise in 2010 was $999 per adult for a 10 day in the Med. It was awesome!

Oh gosh. We got an interline rate. I think we paid 700 per person for an ocean view. Total price was 3300 that included gratuities for 2a2k.

That's a really great price. the discounts were really great and they still couldn't fill the ship. it's a shame a one way cruise to or from Hawaii with a stay at aulani is a great vacation IMO.

I also got that price. I had the cruise book with points. I ate the 90 dollars or whatever it was back than. Paid cash for that cruise and got 3 more cruises that year with points. Two nights. and a very short 4 night. My parents actually got one of the 7 night cruises as I was running out of vacation time. Now I have too much vacation and not enough $$$$ for the way the economy is.

Hawaii was the best cruise by far out of the all the cruises we have been on including the Europe. I knew last year right when
i stepped on the boat I looked around and my heart sank because i knew that would be the last of Hawaii. The ship seemed half
empty. I think the 10 days or all the sea days or the time of the year some people just could not swing it.

We stayed at Aulani before so might go visit again IF i can stomach those prices. But yes im disappointed also Hawaii is not
on the 2017 schedule. I would have loved to sail again.

I would love to do Hawaii if they'd offer it at a reasonable time of year. No one is going to pull their kids out for a week in September. November - May, maybe, but not right at the beginning of the year. I'm not surprised they had trouble selling it if that's when it was offered.
