let's hope by Sept. I am better so we can go on our trip to WDW. i swear i hate being handicapped.

That must have been quite a fall. I hope you get better right away.

 If you don't hit your head again anytime soon, you should be ok by September. One of the problems with concussions, is once you have one, if you hit your head again you are more vulnerable to worse problems. Falling sucks. I know from experience.

I hope that you are feeling better since hitting your head. Hitting your head does not make you handicapped( in that sense),;) but it can knock some sense in and out of you:rotfl:, don't worry I got hit in my head near the most fragile part of the brain and I was out of commission for about a month. I had more pain than anything. I healed in time to do disney and I was on :cloud9:.

Concussions are no fun.
I had one when I was a little girl as result of running into an electric fence. Even all these years later, I still remember it.

Hope you recover soon.
And, protect that head - as another poster mentioned, damage from concussions is cumulative. One concussion usually doesn’t do much damage, but after you have had 3, the NFL is accepting that you need to stop playing football!

i so hate falling as much as i do, it does suck. i rem. falling the morning after we arrived in FL, staying at the Gaylord Palms, boy did I ruin that trip.

just wanted to add that since i fell i found myself going thru yet another bout of not being able to walk so i had a third epidural last friday (series of three, canceled it the week i fell). gotta tell you not loving life at this time. the epidural made it so i can at least get in and out of bed to go to the bathroom.

i swear the only thing that keeps me upbeat is our upcoming trip to disney. i'm trying to stay positive and not focus on HOW I'M GOING TO RUIN THIS TRIP due to the pain i am in.

Considering how often it is that you fall, I'd highly suggest renting a wheelchair (if you don't already have on/plan on renting one). It'll decrease your risk of falling and if you are still reacting badly to the concussion (which can take months and months to really get better depending on severity), it'll help you conserve energy and have less pain.

we are renting an ECV for the first time for me. i hate the idea BUT i also hate falling continues to hurt my already hurt body.

i'm not saying i am handicapped just because i hit my head. i am handicapped due to a lot of reasons which started with a skydiving accident. falling from 15,000 ft. does not do a body good. over the years i have gone from being in pain and functioning to being in horrific chronic pain and not being able to function, not a good life to have. i swell up so badly when i walk and then my back goes out. i swear i wish i had never gone skydiving.

Just wanted to stop by and offer a . Your trip will be fine. Try to keep your spirits up. Watch YouTube with the kids and get them in the planning. I also suffer from chronic pain due to an accident. I really try to immerse myself in the planning to stop thinking of the pain.

our trip is coming at me fast :) due to being handicapped, i've already started packing things as i find them :) my girls have their backpacks packed and ready to go.
