My 60-day FP+ window opened this morning. I couldn't get a FP+ for A:FOP on any of the four days we are there (Oct. 6 to Oct. 9)

It's not a huge deal; we were able to get a FP+ for our trip last week. It's a really cool attraction.

I tweeted my dismay at the WDWToday account. Their answer was to keep checking as other guests may cancel the FP+ for the attraction. Riiiiiiiiigggggghhhhhtttttt!

I had the same problem for our three day visit. At 60 days out i was unable to get a FP for FoP. Keep trying...all of a sudden they open up as you get closer to the date.

Hmm, I don't think so. They only open up in extremely limited quantities as others change their plans. There is no further release of FPs by Disney.

Right now AK closes at 7 or 7:30pm in October. If those hours get extended, do you know if they will open up more fast passes then?

Frustrating aspect of the currect fast pass system, people with longer stays get the best choices. I know it would be a pain, but they really need to make it 60 days out from each day period.

Yes they will. But you would need to see it quick because the FP's will go quick

Pandora has extended hours from 10 PM until 12 AM on Sunday, October 8. This is for resort guests only. Any clue on what standby times look like at night?

Except then you'd have to log in every morning for multiple mornings to get fast pass which would be irritating. People staying longer spend more money, so I don't Disney would change it.

There's an identical thread running :) I guess October crowds are due to be heavy this year, I know they seem to go up year on year.

Keep checking though, plenty of people have got a FP later on :)

I agree, thats why it would be a pain, but honestly, people who spend more money shouldn't be getting first choice on the fast passes which is exactly whats happening. Not only people who spend more money but even people who can spend more time at Disney in general.

I agree with the practice even though my family is the underdog in this situation. I totally feel the planner of the family should only have to get up once and have all fp in place

Welcome 2 my nightmare...Same scenario....

I think it's fair for Disney to incentivize people to stay on their property. But in terms of the time question, people staying longer may in fact be spending less, if they are at a lower-level resort and eating QS, say, than a family spending less time but going Deluxe concierge, doing signature dining etc. I've wondered what the stats are in terms of average length of stay per resort level. Anecdotally, it seems to me that wealthier people tend to have more money to burn than time. Tom Bricker wrote an interesting post about time vs money at Disney last week. But Disney giving the higher resort tiers preference would be a whole other can of worms, both logistically and in terms of the probably bad press they would get.

I am going for the same dates! It makes me angry because people go for weeks at a time and do the same ride for multiple days! To prevent this, you should have to book each day at 60 days out because that way its fair game.

I kept checking and one time frame opened up right at the 30 day mark at like 3 in the morning so had to change our dining plans but our is in September month

Yes I agree with this.
