Last step raise was last Dec 29, 2001. I knew the step raises are frozen after so many years and my turn is now. So the parttimers begin to pass the fulltimers in pay per hours.
Was also told the cost of living raises may not happen this June as the state is in a bad state of funds.
Ok guys - I do have a job. May need to look harder to see the positives.

That's the way to think, Barb!!:) Remember to accentuate the positive!:D :D

Being self-employed - I haven't had a raise in about 15 years - and have to pay that blasted health insurance out of my own pocket, too. But - like you, I choose to be glad to have a job, a wonderful family, and reasonable good health.:D

It is tough to know that your pay is frozen for a while. :( {{{hugs}}} to you that things will look up sooner than you think.

But you did hit on a positive - you have a job. And if it's something you enjoy doing, that's two positives. Hang in there!

Yep, you are still employed, that is a really good thing. :D

My company laid off about 200 people back in October (it was about 3% of the total work force). It was no fun at all. :(
