We are planning a trip for May 2010 and I have a question about tickets.

While we are there, my daughter will turn 9. I know that will still make her a child as far as disney goes, but I'm considering getting a 10 day no expiration date ticket for all of us. My question is, if I were to get her a no expiration date ticket and don't go back to Disney until she is 10, will she be able to use that ticket?

I'm certainly not trying to cheat WDW out of any money. It is possible we may get back before she turns 10, but I can't say for sure.

I'm just trying to figure out how Disney will handle it if we don't get back while they still consider her a child. I certainly don't want to by a no expiration date ticket for her and then not be able to use it. :confused3

Yes.

No extra charge will be necessary, regardless of when that same child returns
to Disney to use the rest of the days on the ticket.

This is one of the most-asked questions regarding child tickets at Disney.

There is simply no problem at all.
Disney does not penalize children for growing up.

That is good to know. Besides, the more we go, the more they get. Another trip will more than make up for any lost revenue they have on the difference between a child and an adult ticket.

Thanks

This is absolutely amazing me - for all the many things that Disney completely price gouges for, for the one thing that it would be completely logical for them to upcharge for they don't?

That's just wierd ... and the last line just makes no sense. :confused3

It is price gouging and illogical to assess a child turned junior/adult the difference between today's adult pass and yesteryear's child pass to make any use of what remains on the pass.

"Disney does not penalize children for growing up" makes perfect crystal clear sense to me.
