Dh and would like to go in Jan 08 and would be there for 4 days. I was wondering how the no experation works. I was wondering if we bought an 8 day PH. we would still have 4 days left for when we bring our youngest DS2. We stay on site and use the DDP. So also is the DDP on those extra days? Or when we come back will we need to get the DDP again. Is the no experation just for the base ticket or does it include the PH option if we had it for our trip? HELP.

You would not be able to buy the DDP without purchasing at least a one day ticket on the second stay, the passes don't "carry over" for the DDP, only admission. If you have park hopping, the no expiration applies to that. In the past, I've bought the 10 day hoppers/no expiration simply b/c that's the cheapest per day price and the difference is negligible between 7 and 10 days. I know I'll always have a trip coming at SOME point that I can use them for.

Also, we still have 'pluses' from the old (2003) tickets for waterparks that we used just this August. I just keep the tickets in a file folder and take them along the next trip. I can go to Guest Services at the parks and they tell me what is left on each one.

The DDP is purchased by the number of nights you are staying, not your park tickets. Online, you do have to purchase at least 1 day of park tickets to get the DDP. I don't know if it would be any different if you call or use a travel agent, though. While tickets won't expire, your DDP ends at midnight on the day you check out of your resort, so be sure to use everything by then.

so if we buy 7 day and use 4 that leaves us with 3 days. When we make our next trip we buy one day plus day PH plus DDP for 4 day. So we would have a total of 4 days with PH and DDP?
When we go in 2008 we buy 7days no experation with PH on all only buy 4 day with DDP?

If you buy PH and no exp now, then you buy it on all of your days. I know you can buy the ticket w/o PH, then upgrade later if you want. What you will do now is Book your hotel, buy your tickets for 7 days (with PH and no exp if you choose) and buy DDP. If you stay 4 nights, then you must buy 4 days of DDP for everyone in your room. Use all DDP before midnight on the day you check out. (You check out Sun AM, then you have until Sun at midnight to use all DDP credits.) Use only the tickets you want to use - they are good for any park. The tickets you do not use will be good as long as Disney still stands... as long as you did the no exp.

Next time you go to book a trip, call and talk to someone in reservations to determine if they still offer DDP, and if you need to purchase a ticket for 1 day to use it. There is no guarantee it will still be around, or they may change the rules before your next trip. Right now DDP is based on nights in the hotel, not days in the park. Just because your leftover tickets are PH and no exp doesn't mean you are stuck doing the same ticket next time. You could do a 1 day, 1 park ticket and use it first, saving $45 per ticket. If you rent points from a DVC member for your next trip, I'm pretty sure you can buy DDP without buying additional admission ticket days in order to purchase DDP. I know members can, and I think it carries over to their guests.
