There are no DVC resorts anywhere outside the United States. Florida, South Carolina, California and Hawaii. That's it so far!

Thank you. But when I wrote "Resort Options" I Meant the Disney Collection resorts such as the ones in Hong Kong Disney and Tokyo Disney.
If you review your membership you'll see these resorts as well as the ones in Paris, use the DVC point system

Sorry, I misread your question. I don't know if there is a Shanghai Disney opportunity to use with points. As Gilda Radner would say....never mind.

Being a brand new theme park (open just 6 months), it's most likely going to take a little time before any agreement on rooms is negoitated between DVC & the resort.

For my January stay I've used my DVC points to stay at Cabana Bay at the Universal Resort. I've rented the points I would have used for a DVC stay and paid cash for the hotel. You can do the same and probably come ahead of what they'll ask for staying on points at Shangay Disneyland: points exchanges are always an awful value.
