No DVC free parking

I think the debate over where the comma was placed is quite humorous. DVC can't even properly transpose numbers into point and sales charts on frequent occasion.

Just because someone is a "lawyer"
doesn't mean they know what they are doing, even if they work for Disney.

Out of curiosity, what's to stop Disney from changing it to only free parking when staying at your home resort? So if you own at SSR but stay at OKW you gotta pay to park. Is the language vague enough for something like that?

My understanding is has to to with Florida Timeshare Laws and "method" of payment. Since the Legacy resorts at WDW are in the same association, I believe the language is pretty clear, if you are staying on points, they can't charge you. Where the "openness for interpretation" may come in, is around if you own in FL, but are staying at a resort in CA, NC, or HI, or vice versa? Also, with the new system introduced with RIV, maybe there is some uncertainty. Is a legacy owner is staying at RIV on points staying in the same "system"?

I find the debate in general entertaining. That it revolves around a random hypothetical proposition fabricated from whole cloth (well, except for "I read contracts all the time, so trust me") makes it just that much better.

I'll go next: What's stopping Disney from starting to charge for water and electricity? I mean, we might own the pipes, conduit, and fixtures, but does it say anywhere that Disney specifically has to fill those pipes or energize those wires?

Maybe they'll add a coin slot or card reader at the front door, so you can pay for your shower or watch TV. They could possibly make the oven and fridge like those old vibrating beds from the 50's and 60's. You'll be able to get quarters from a machine in the lobby.

Such an entitled DVC member attitude to think you just deserve free water in your room.

brightline is years away if it ever even shows. Bright line has a lot of problems financially

relatively unprofitable in the Miami market, lost the virgin deal due to covid, laid off their entire staff and now universal are blocking the train to Disney.

if it does go forward, looking years out

It's not unprofitable. It's a real estate deal. This is why they own the stations and Miami Central. As for Virgin, they only owned a 10% piece and they lost it when they had massive financial problems in the UK.

As for Universal, they aren't blocking anything. Railroads are federally regulated. They go where they want to go and put stations where they want to put them provided they can purchase or lease the land, No State, County or Municipality has any say over a railroad in the US unless they own it. Brightline said they have the money to build the southern route; the northern route is too expensive. When asked "Who's going to pay the extra costs, the Orange County mayor said they don't have the money. And every private business started to watch the birds and look for Superman in the sky because they don't want to pay for the costs either.

The Central Florida Expressway has to determine if they are going to lease the northern or southern corridor to Brightline. And I'm pretty sure that at a bit more than half the cost of the northern route ($1.8 Bil), the southern route ($1.1 Bil) will be chosen. If the northern route is chosen, everyone on the train will be able to watch as Universal, the Convention Center and SeaWorld wiz by on their way to Disney and Tampa.

I’m sorry I ever posed the question, drama

Drama?

No buddy, it says dvc may limit our rights to the designated areas. I know you want to see rainbows here but nothing but storm clouds

you don’t need to know my background but I do know the proper way to read a contract. This clause is not in our favor

You didn't simply ask a question, you posited a hypothetical, received adverse but measured responses (initially), including supporting excerpts from the POS, and then decided you weren't going to accept those answers and started arguing it as a fact (not even an opinion), not a question.
