I haven't gotten my dues statement yet. Don't they take out the dues on the 1st of each month? I have no clue what is being taken out of my checking this January 1st....
For the last few years I can remmeber getting mine the day after Christmas. It is like the holiday present from Disney!
On a side note it is amazing that DVC can make sure Dues statements can get out on a timely basis but DVC planners or newsletters take weeks or months to receive.
Dues statement usually do arrive right after Christmas. We just started using the monthly debit dues last year, and the January payment wasn't drawn until the 15th, the others reverted to the first of the month.
I think dues statements are sent out directly by Member Accounting, newsletters and such use a private contract firm.
I had to call member accounting for a different issue last week and they have an automated message saying when dues notices will be sent out. i forget exactly the date, but it definately was somewhere i the 20's. i know kinda vague, but point being they hadnt gone out yet and werent going out until latter part of the month.
If you need a more exact date just call em up and listen to the message, dont even have to wait for a person.
I am pretty sure I usually receive the dues statement the week between Christmas & New Year's. My dues are taken out of the account on the 15th of every month - it has never been the 1st.
Annual Dues statements for 2005 will be mailed the last week in December, following the Annual Meetings. The due date is Jan. 15, 2005, with a grace period through Feb. 14, 2005. <<<<<<<
They mail out the dues statement after Christmas and before New Years. I would switch to paying for it by mail rather then have it taken out of your checking account if you wish to know what you have to pay before you pay it.
I talked to DVC today and had a chance to find out what my 2005 dues were for BCV. I was told they were 4.2694 per point with .08 per point one time charge in January. I believe that one time charge was because of the underestimated taxes.
When you set up the autodebit, MS (member accounting) can tell you exactly what your payments will be each month. There is no service charge for the auto-debit ... you'll pay exactly the same amount if you pay in full in January or use the 12 equal monthly payments with auto-debit.
Just give MS a call once you get your statement and they'll walk you thru the process. You can either pay in full with a credit card or check or set up the auto-debit service.
As mentioned, they won't be taking anything out 1/1, it will be 1/15. You can estimate the payment by taking the figure from the "estimated budget" you received and multiplying it by the number of points you own and dividing by 12. Then put in a "little more" to cover the possibility of having to make-up for unpaid taxes. This amount is usually billed in a lump for the first monthly withdrawal. (Why do all the big bills come due in January?)
