No dues statement (or balance) for new contract?

Hi all,

I closed on a VGF add-on contract for 100 points in the beginning of December 2022. Direct purchase. However when I received my dues statements it was not included, and although the contract is listed and available for use on my account online, it’s showing a dues balance of $0. I received the title via email yesterday. Does this mean the dues simply haven’t been charged yet, and if so when should I anticipate I’ll be notified of that?

Many thanks.

It takes a few weeks after closing for the dues to show up. I don't remember if you get a notification. I normally check once a week if I'm expecting it.

OK got it. Just checked and Deed was dated 12/1 but not recorded until 12/22. So I’ll keep an eye on it. Tks.

Jumping in here since we had/have the same problem. Bought in December, closed at the beginning of January, dues owing just showed up today. However, there no statement showing to help me figure out how they figured out what I owed.

I have a June use year at GF, 250 points. But the amount they charged doesn't match my math. Will the statement eventually get emailed to me or will I have to call to get one? And do the dues run from the date I "bought" at the sales center, when the paperwork was finalized, or when it finally closed?

I have only add on experience direct, but the dues are calculated to the day I made the initial agreement (the points are available the same day).

If it’s in December you also get billed a prorated amount for the 2022 days.

We closed on a resale contract in late Dec, and actually were asked to pay 2023 dues as part of the closing. Wasn't expecting that, but it works for us. Make sure you didn't already pay them! If you didn't, they will find you with a bill, I'm sure.

So good to know. I will check this!

We were very surprised to see it as a line item, but were told Disney requested it since it was so late in the year. We were going to pay it for the year anyway, so it wasn't a real problem. But if you check, you'll know if you're paid or if you can expect a bill soon!

Seems like dues on resale contracts are handled differently - not prorated daily, but are often part of the sellers responsibility and are more of an annual basis. Just noticed OP's buy was direct, and didn't realize direct dues were handled more minutely. Interesting. Learned something new - again!

Go to your actual dues statement. It will show it detailed out with the 2022 dues you owed from when you purchased in December and then the 2023 dues.

That’s how I found mine for my Dec UY VGF dues that were owed for that one month from 2022.

That's the issue. I don't have a dues statement. Nothing emailed to me, and on the dues page of the dashboard it shows my amount owing on one side and where there should be a statement it says "not available." When I look at the transaction history I've got three amounts...a tiny Actual Taxes, a large 2023 Dues (which doesn't match the amount I think it should be) and a medium sized Estimated Taxes.

I haven't received anything to tell me how they arrived at those amounts.

Call member accounting. They should be able to find out why the statement is missing Or get it added.

Thanks. I didn’t get an invoice or hard-copy statement via mail for the newest contract. I did look at my online dues info a week ago and the new direct contract was listed but had a $0.00 dues balance. However, I did go in and check again today and the dues are now showing, with a Feb 1st due date, so I was able to pay them.

Added on 50 points direct, on 12/6. Split into 2 payments with second on 12/30. Deed recorded 1/3, and dues showed up on dashboard on 1/17.
