No Disney for 2yrs!! not happy :(

We just arrived back from WDW a week ago and loved it.we also visited DL May 2010 & had a great time.

I am wanting to go back to DL May 2012 but my family (parents, brothers, SIL & their children) are planning on going back to DL May 2013.
i'd really love to go with the family but i just wish they were going a little earlier, im going to go crazy..

No Disney for 2yrs! thats depressing , but i suppose i get to save more spending $$ towards the trip.

We're looking at a 2 year wait as well. At least it gives DD time to potty train. Disney with a stroller was no biggie but Disney with diapers SUCKED.

Two years is...inconceivable!! Maybe you can travel solo to the U.S. and join next year's Girls Only trip?

I feel your pain. It's been a year and a half since my last visit, and I'm aching to go.

But until they fix their utterly out-of-control AP problem, it's not worth going (to me) anyway. I don't believe in throwing money at people whose business models I disagree with.

It will be four years until i am able to return to DL. Last time i was there was with DH in 2008. In 2009 we had our first baby so we have been planning to take her there for her 3rd birthday!! Tried to start planning for July 2012!!! With moving, starting new jobs and a little one it was not possible for us to go.
So i can feel ur pain!!!

I feel your pain. We had our first Disney experience last year and we were planning to return in Feb 2012.However my MIL and FIL are going back to Holland,where they are from(probablytheir last trip,they are both in their mid 80's)and my husband has never been...so instead of DL,I am sending him to Holland for three weeks.I have to be careful not to sigh forlornly when a Disney commercial comes on,but it is tough.

So sorry to hear! I've been forced with a similar scenario. I used to live about 90 mins from WDW and moved to VA almost 2 years ago. Haven't been since and I'm not sure when I'll get to go. I was at HHI via DVC in January this year so that gave me a little Disney fix. Hang in there!

It's tough to have to wait a long while in between trips - I have had to do it at different times in life.

Think of it this way - by the time you get to DLR in 2013, all of the work on DCA will be finished. There will be a totally new entrance, a new 1920's Los Angeles theme, a new street car, a brand new land with new rides, shops and restaurants, new shops and restaurants in the Hollywood area, a re-themed Disneyland Hotel, and who knows what else?

If you were to go back in May 2012, not everything would be open yet (June 2012 will be the CarsLand opening). So I think 2013 will be a better option!

Same here. I will not return to WDW until 2014 when I graduate high school. Sherry E, Carsland opens in 2012, not 2013.

Us Australians are so hard done by, why can't Disneyland be down here? I'm planning on a return trip, I could afford a "very tight on a budget" trip now, but I think I'll save longer for some extras and go a bit later on, and pray the dollar remains how it is!

That just sucks in so many ways. We went Dec 2010 for Christmas and looking at going back to DL in January 2012 for DD 18th birthday.

And we are having withdrawls already ;-(

The Dobies feel your pain, too! We almost (gasp) had to miss our yearly trip this summer! I had been consoling myself that we would get to go in 2013 to see the new additions, but soooo looooong!

But Sherry is right....in May, 2012, the new DCA will not be finished....it finishes in June. So when you go, the initial crowds will be down and you will be able to enjoy a brand new park!!!
