Check you airfare, for Aug we started at $202 from Hartford, CT. It dropped to $183 on Monday, and today it went down to $167. I will just keep racking up the credits for our next trip!:woohoo:

No changes to PVD's airfare for July ... yet. Fingers crossed! If they can drop prices by $25 each way I'm booking and not driving!

BWI->MCO dropped, but not back under 100 pp yet. I'm less than 3 months out now, so we shall see how long I can hold out.

If your flight drops in price, how do you get the credit? I have never done this before! Thanks.

If it isn't a ding sale, you can just go to SW site, and on the right side there is a link to "Change Flight". You can book your new flight, paying for it with the one you already had booked, and if the price is lower now, you get a credit for the difference. The credit has to be used within 1 year of when that first flight was purchased though.

If it is a ding sale, I think you need to cancel your current flight and then use your conf # as payment for the ding sale. Maybe someone can come along and clarify that if they have done that before though.

Thanks so much! I saved $50 for my Mom and I on our flight in a couple of weeks! So the credit is tied to a confirmation #, right? To use it, you just put the conf. # in as a payment option? Is that correct?

MHT hasn't changed, but BOS has dropped. BOS doesn't have any nonstops so now I'm unsure of what to do. I like my nonstops.

clanmcculloch - we usually fly out of MHT (we are only 12 miles from the end of the runway!), but the prices were crazy. We book SWA out of PVD hoping that if MHT drops we can just switch our flights. I hate Logan, so I'd rather drive a bit further and go out of PVD (plus we know someone who'll get us very cheap parking ;) )

If we fly out of BOS we'll use a car service. I won't drive to Logan. It's much cheaper to use a service than it is to park plus I won't need to worry about Boston traffic. You might be able to park at somebody's house, but remember what it'll cost you in gas.

We must be pretty close to you. According to mapquest, we're 15 miles from MHT. We obviously also like flying out of MHT, but in this case, there's a $50 pp ow difference in price from what I paid out of MHT (BOS is $94 and we paid $149 from MHT) so I have to at least consider it. PVD was $129 last I looked.

I'm another one who will avoid Logan (not SWA's fault, it's the airport design, driving, parking and grumpy attitudes.) Not a pleasant way to start or end your Disney trip. I'm also watching Manchester and Bradley airfares - I don't mind up to a 2 hour drive if it means saving 20 hours of the same!

ETA: remember if using a livery service to add that cost onto your airfare out of Logan. It takes $120 saved by going to BOS via towncar from our house over driving and parking at PVD (using a shuttle lot) to just break even.

That's correct, you will click on the "apply travel funds" button, then enter the conf # and name on the ressie.

We live in Pelham. I would much prefer to go out of MHT for logistic reasons, but the difference in airfare was too much. There are 8 of us flying. We will all pile into the van and head to PVD and not pay for parking :) That is...unless the fares in MHT come down.

BTW...I do have to say that I know of at least one TSA worker at Logan that's not grumpy...my little brother :thumbsup2

 I didn't mean to say everyone at Logan was grumpy. In fact we've hit many pleasant folk including security. The nasty ones I recall most vividly were the police outside... yelling at everyone even if they were doing the dropoff/pickup bit correctly.

Logan is only 20 minutes from us, but I do love the ease of MHT. If it wasn't for the 50 minute drive, I'd always fly out of there. :thumbsup2

We are close. We live in Derry. Pelham was one of the few towns we narrowed our search down to when we were moving to NH.

You know, I've never actually encountered a grumpy TSA agent. I don't know how we've managed that, but it's true. Or, maybe I just don't pay attention to the attitude of those who aren't particularly pleasant but all I'm remembering are nice, friendly TSA agents. The worst I can recall is kind of bored looking agents but most seem quite pleasant. I guess either I'm lucky (possible), I bring out the best in people (yeah, I don't think it's that one), or I just have selective memory (my DH would be going "DING, DING, DING, we have a winner).

Thank you to Enfield from Harwinton!!

Woohoo Tinkerdee! Thanks for the Southwest BDL to MCO update. My fare, while not as low as yours, dropped twice in two days.

As a result, we decided to book an extra day and saved $44 total for our tickets. :woohoo:

No charge for leaving a day early either!!!

Who LOVES Southwest??? ME!

Ours only went down $5 out of Albany-not worth the hassle of changing but thanks for the post. It reminds me to keep checking!
