I'm really trying to come to grips with this, but it looks like we are not doing the dining plan this time because we reserved ASMu family suites through expedia instead of Disney. Even if free dining comes out, it still might be better for us to stay with the deal we have.

So, if I buy gift cards and have some $ on my Disney Rewards Card, can I charge all of the food back to the room on the room card and pay for it before we leave with all of the cards??

Yes, as long as you don't do the Express checkout (because then they charge everything to the credit card that's on the room key). You don't have to wait until you leave, though - you can pay off the balance on the key with your gift cards or rewards card at any time. Some people like to do it each evening (or morning) so they have a better handle on their spending.

Ok, thanks. I did charge all tips to my room key last time and paid it off the night before, now that I think about it.
