I just called Disney to find out the planned show rotation on my upcoming 4-Day Wonder (March 7). They said that it would be Golden Mickeys, Movie Night, Hercules, Disney Dreams.

I'm really bummed out. On our past two cruises we've had Gary Delena (very funny). What kind of movies do they show for movie night? Are they any different than the movies they show daily in the Buena Vista Theater?

It kind of seems like a night without entertainment. Any thoughts?
:(

It might be a Premeire at Sea. So a brand new movie. Its usally pretty fun. I was on the Magic for the Recess premeire. On the 7 day it was not a big deal not having entertainment that night, but on 4 day it might bother me. There is still plenty of stuff in the clubs.

Just curious when you booked the March 7 cruise. We looked at that almost 7 months ago and we were told it was all full.

When they do Movie Night in the Walt Disney Theatre, it is usually a PremEar at Sea. That is, the initial showing of a new, first run movie. They are released on DCL the same week that they are released on land.

That movie may then re-run later in the Buena Vista theatre.

On the 2/7 Eastern Magic, we had Miracle. It then ran again 2 days later in Buena Vista.

Hidalgo is opening throughout the U.S. on March 5, 2004. Originally branded as a Disney movie, the PG-13 rated Hidalgo will now be released under Disney's Touchstone brand. It looks promising. See http://hidalgo.movies.go.com/

It could be a different movie, such as Disney's Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, which opens today. There isn't a new Disney movie opening that week. The next Disney-branded movie, Home on the Range, doesn't open until April 2, 2004.

It's also possible that the person with whom you spoke was mistaken, and they'll have a variey show after all.

A new movie wouldn't be so bad. I'm looking forward to seeing Hidalgo. I'll call DCL and confirm that the representative I spoke with was correct.

Little Twin Stars-
I booked January 12th of this year. There were plenty of cabins available in all categories when I called. I don't know why you would have had a problem. Very strange.

On a four day in July we saw Pirates of the C in the WDT (it had been out about a week)- it was very enjoyable! (I have seen it since and thought this isn;t as great as I remember it - then I remember WHERE I saw it first - yes, seems location location location)
Just remember a sweater for the movie - less people, less lights and activity - I couldn't believe how cold it was

Just went to a movie this weekend and the preview for Hidalgo said fall 2004. A month or so ago it said March 2004. In the Disney Mag. it also says March 2004. Something must have happened if Disney really pushed the opening back 6 months.

You may get a varietly performer after all.

As I recall, the original plan for Hidalgo was to have a Fall release -- Fall 2003. But it was pushed back to March 5, 2004.

You may have seen an old trailer. Was it the trailer that said "Disney," rather than the current Touchstone trailer?
