I am going to Orlando on a Disney vacation and will be staying in the Pop Century resort. I intend to make a one day trip to Universal studios but I have no car.

My question is if there is if there is any convienent means to getting to universal (do any busses from a disney park go to an outside hotel and does that hotel offer bussing to Universal)

Anything at all because I cannot afford a car no matter how I crunch the numbers

thank you

KutieKity,

I have not actually done this but have check on this because I will be doing the same thing for my trip in Sept.

The Lynx busing system has a bus that picks up at the TTC at the MK, but you have to tell them you want to go to universal studios because it is not have a direct stop.....They will leave you off at Sea World and from there you catch another bus to universal.

I felt that this was too complicated to do and time consuming, so I will be taking Mears from CSR to Universal ($14) round trip.

I am sorry, I appreciate your help, but I dont know what those acronyms stand for (TTC, CSR) can you please let me know :)

thanks

Sure. CSR is the Coronado Springs Resort and the TTC is the Ticket and Transportation Center at the Magic Kingdom.

Wow there isa bus right at the corranado springs resort that will take me right to Universal. I am actually staying at Corranado Springs the first half of my trip. I may have to go to Universal earlier to make it more convienent

Not to be a pain. But where at the resort would I buy a ticket to universal???

thiis is a great help thank you (I thought I wouldn't get to go to Universal)

KutieKity,

Sorry KutieKity for not being clear enough. There isn't a bus directly from the Coronado springs resort that will take you to Universal. The Lynx busing system can, but it leaves from the Ticket and Transportation Center at the Magic Kingdom. You can take a WDW bus to the magic kingdom to catch the Lynx bus. The Lynx website is www.golynx.com. You can email them with any questions or call them.

A taxi or Mears Shuttle can pick you up right from any WDW resort and take you to universal. I will be using a Mears shuttle and the round trip cost for that is $14.

Oh by the way, welcome to the disboards!!

I hope I cleared that up

EEK Now I am starting to annoy myself (sorry)

Would I have to book the shuttle to pick me up at my resort, or is there like a schedule when they will be at the resort to pick up guests? If I would have to contact them to arrange a pickup, where would I do so?

I am sorry to be a pain, I am really excited now (this is my VERY FIRST trip to Disney) and I want to make sur to get all my bases covered?

I really appreciate your help :)

No problem that is what the disboards are here for, to help. You will find tons of information here. Just ask.

For a Mears shuttle. I was told to call mears (407-839-1570) 1 day before you want to go to Universal. I believe that number will get you started. The mears website is:

https://secure.mearstransportation.com/Index.htm

You can also talk with your resort and I'm sure that they can be of some assistance.

Mears told me $14 for a round trip to universal.

Have a great time at Disney. I'll be going in September. Very shortly and very excited!!

I am going in October

Sounds good this Mears thing, only concern is that I am going to the Universal Halloween event which ends at Midnight, I am going to have to call and ask what the latest time is they will have a pick up...

I can't wait is is expensive but is gonna be so much fun
