SSR is not really as big as everyone likes to make it out to be, DTD is a short walk from any where in SSR, pools are located all around but Grandstand would be the closest to a theme pool. As for snacks after the parks, you should have some in your room because there won't be anything available by the time the parks close and you get back. Aslo you can hop the bus's and get around the resort if you get tired of walking. Guess I'm lucky I never get tired of walking....
I am a little confused by your snacks comment. When staying at WL we would always hit the food court late and get snacks, usually around 10-11pm, don't they stay open until midnight typically? When does artist point close??:confused3

It's not that big a resort. You won't need a car. We park our car and don't move it for the length of our stay. If you just can't walk, take the bus. The Park buses go around the resort until you get to the springs (so you can get to the main pool and lobby area), and the Downtown Disney Bus starts at the springs and works it's way back through the resort to Congress Park. You can get to every area on a bus.

The Boss and I could understand if you are 90 or something needing a car for Saratoga, but, beyond that, it's just not that big. I mean, I have arthritis in both my knees and I walk around it fine. It's too pretty a place to drive.
