No calling for PINs?

Well, I just called to see if I might have a pin associated with my name or email or anything and the CM was rude. He argued with me over checking, telling me that there was a policy against that after asking me "Why are you calling? Did you get a postcard or something?" Has anyone else had an experience like that?

, Unless this is something new, There have been lots of people who have called asking about PINS and what not. I hope you got his name, he sounds like a real piece of work:sad2: I would call back and request someone else and see how far you get. If you are met with resistance, ask for a supervisor and written confirmation of this policy :confused3

Rudeness is never okay:mad:

Complete BS. I call ALL the time and have found some in my "account" with them. For some reason, I don't get my PINs via email even though they have my email address. They have *never* been rude.

More than once, I have been told that it was "against policy" to check for a pin code by phone. I guess it's all in who you talk to. :confused3

That makes no sense when I NEVER get them by email or mail, they are always just under my name..

I had many rude CM when even making a new trip. But I guess they have their bad days but really not acceptable.

I normally have good ones over the rude ones. Some of them don't use their real names. As I had one who said his name was Prince Charming:rotfl: I asked if that was his real name & he said no but sometimes they use another name. I asked if any thing went wrong with anything he said they would know who I talked to. Weird ! But I really had no problems with asking about "pins"

I have called several time through the years. 90% of the time it has never been an issue (and have EVEN had pins associated with my name). A few times a CM has been grumpy about it. Whatever. I just call back and speak to another if that is the case :)

I actually just called yesterday to check on a pin code for my July trip. The CM told me that they are limiting computer access and it may not be possible to check anymore.

 that stinks!!!

Every CM is different. I booked my trip a couple month ago using a PIN. I was thinking of upgrading from a value to mod. The first CM I spoke to was very sweet, but she told me she could not find the PIN info that I booked with, and she also told me that no mods were available during the the time I wanted. I called again later in the day and that CM was able to look up my pin info and it turned out at least 3 mods still had rooms available the 2nd week of December. Try again. :)

I tried this a few years ago and the woman was beyond rude. She kept telling me 'You need to tell me what promotion you are talking about, otherwise I can't help you' when I asked if there were ANY discounts under our household.

Like the majority here, Ive had times when there is no problem, CM will look and let me know and usually when I do call there is some kind of pin. A few times CMs wouldnt look unless I could tell them the code from a mailing in specific. I think that sucks cause I barely get a mailing.:confused3

I've run into this a few times. Some of them act like it's against the rules, others are happy to check for you. You can usually tell w/in the first 30 seconds of the conversation if the CM is going to be helpful. If I get a "bad" CM, I just say "oops, sorry have to go I'll call back" and I hang up and call back and get someone else. Don't waste your time or get yourself all aggravated dealing with someone who has a less than helpful attitude.

Life is too short!

So do we know if the reservation CM's are rated or incentivised based on the percentage of people who call that they actually book? That's what it sounds like to me. If that's the case, and lots of people call in looking for pins with no intention of booking, that would skew their numbers. That's honestly what it sounds like to me. Which is still wrong.
