I went tonight and got a few things were were going to need by the weekend - qtips, milk, bread, yogurt, etc. tonight so that I wouldn't be tempted this weekend to overspend. We should not need anything before next payday next Thursday, so this is a nice feeling! DH will be getting gas on Saturday though, we earned 10 cents off a gallon and he is down to a quarter tank so he'll fill up on Saturday since that expires on Saturday. This no buy has reallllly helped since I have to 'fess up to everything I spend, I'm being even more careful than I was in Jan & Feb - thank you to this thread SO much!

Ok, this month is getting away from me. Not shopping much which is guess is good. DH, the guy who works crazy hours, called me at the beginning of the week and said we should go down south .... at the end of the month. Crazy crazy man. Not a great budget decision. We do have money set aside but this wasn’t planned... but with his hours, I think he needs it. He’s only taken a week off in the past year. So, we’re heading to Mexico at Easter! I feel guilty just typing it. Anyway, the deed is done and the trip is purchased. I’m going to add a separate category to track the spending in prep of the trip... OTC meds, sunblock swimsuits for the kids, etc. Sigh. I should be excited about this shouldn’t I?

Well, still 4 no spend days this month. Not going anywhere today, but dh is picking up milk and yogurt @ Walmart for me. I caved and ordered pizza last night - dd10 and I were cleaning her closet all afternoon so I was worn out- need to remember to utilize the crock pot next time I do a large project. We did decide to do just 1 night in a hotel much closer to us than to go 4 hours to Omaha- so we'll still be spending $ on 1 hotel night, eating out, bowling, and the kids need haircuts & spring dress shoes for dd's, but we're saving some on 1 less hotel night and gas. Now if we can just keep the spending to the spring shoes, we'll be doing good.
