Guess I'm behind since the new member website was done - I'm sure I booked my last DVC vacation on my own online - why did they stop this? It was so easy not to have to talk to someone and just plug in my dates and see what was available :confused3 If this is the case, I really don't like the new website. :worried:

It's still there. Click where it says, "how to book" and then there is another link to the online booking tool.

You can still book online. I just did it on Saturday. Go to Vacation Planning>making reservations>then on the right hand side there will be a link that says Book Disney Vacation Club Online Resort.

Online booking is still available using the new member website. You will find it under the 'My Vacations' drop drown menu.

I definitely don't like the new website, but yes, you can still do it. Instead of "How to Book", they should have a link that says "Book online Now" or something to that effect.

I just did it last week, so you can still do it.

It's very easy to find it on the new member website. Under the 'My Vacation' drop down menu there are two links for on-line booking. One is for DVC Resorts, the other is for RCI Resorts. They are below the 'Book Online' in the image linked to below. Click image to see a large version.

You can also book online using the "Vacation Planning" menu and then selecting "Start Planning". Once the page refreshes, you can then click on the "Book a Disney Vacation Club Resort".

When I log in I am taken to a page that has Minnie and a "Welcome Home" message on it. I scroll down and see

Membership Number: xxxxxxxyyyyy
My Upcoming Vacations

No vacations currently booked. Start planning now for your next dream getaway!

Where is My Reservation?
My Home Resorts
Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort
Book Now

Other Destinations

Book Now is a link. Other Destinations is above a dropdown menu.

When I click Book Now I am taken to the page where I can check availabiility everywhere, and book if I wish to.

There are menus at the very top of the page (above the picture of Minnie). To the right. You'll see

[My Membership] [Member Extras] [Destinations] [Vacation Planning] [My Vacations]

Put your mouse over any of these links and a menu should drop down.

Thank you everyone! Found it! I really miss the ease of the old website, but I guess we all have to accept change and move on! I knew my DIS friends would chime in and help me out! :thumbsup2

One might hope DVC would have made navigation easier when they redesigned the website. Sigh...

Although it's probably like a butterfly in China fluttering its wings over a flower, it might not hurt to give DVC your feedback on their "redesigned" site. Here is one option to do that:

Funny you mentioned this - my DH just sent an email regarding this very topic - as well as online check in (which used to be much less of a hassle!)

I hope everyone takes your suggestion and leaves feedback. The new website is not half as user friendly as it used to be.

But my way is easier. Click book now and I'm there. First page after logging in.

But, I think you only get that message if you have no vacations planned, because I do not have a "Book Now" link. Also, my way is available from all pages on the site, not just the first page. ;)
