Can anyone verify this? I'm staying in a studio at the Beach Club this weekend & need a blender for a special diet I'm on. Called MS to see if I could get one for my room (I thought they had them in the 1 bedrooms at OKW)!!!!

MS said that there are no blenders in any of the villas at the BC.

They don't have them in studios at OKW either. What I would suggest is you call the front desk at BC or BCV and ask them and be sure and tell them your special situation. Like I said in another thread, what one WDW employee tells you, may not be what another tells you. Anyone that has gone to WDW many times I am sure will agree. The telephone number for the Beach Club resort is 1-407-934-8000 according to "Birnbaum's"

Hi Treloarf,

I also have been on a special diet and need to do a protein shake in the morning. Mostly due to convience. I travel a lot for work and carry one of those hand mixers. They work well and you can find them at the discount type stores for about $15 or less. I got one for $9.99.

On our last trip my family took our own hand blender (the kind you stick in the cup). They don't take up much room We kept frozen fruit in fridge and with yougurt, milk, protein powder, etc. , made our own breakfasts. I would recommend taking one of those big 64 oz. cups to mix in. Having a cup bigger than you need make a lot less of a mess.

Last October DH & I stayed in a 1BR at BCV. I needed a blender, too, because I also make fruit/soy protien smoothies for breakfast. For some reason I had expected to have one in the regular supplies in the kitchen, but there was none there. I called Mousekeeping and a blender was delivered to our villa so quickly, it seemed like they had it all ready, just waiting for me to ask!!! ;)

So, to answer the OP's question, there may not be any blenders in any BCV rooms as standard kitchen equipment, but they do have them available for requests.

Have a great trip!

wow, we are a healthy eating bunch here:p :p :D :D ;) :bounce: :Pinkbounc :teeth:

That is very good thing. I for one am only 2/3's of my former self as a result.

We were in a one bedroom at BCV in March, I too thought it would have a blender but it did not. We called housekeeping and asked for one and were told it would be right up. About two hours later no blender, so we called housekeeping again and were told they were not available! I wondered if this were so, why they just didn't tell us that in the first place? This was our second stay at BCV (our home resort). Our first trip was last July soon after they opened. This trip we were very disappointed, we found a diaper and a pair of womens underwear behind the trunk in the master bedroom and bits and pieces of things behind the sofa and table next to it. I really feal like things are slipping at BCV! We are going back in Oct. but will be staying at VWL! I am still upset and disapointed with my March trip!

The studios do not have a blender. As mentioned above a hand mixer works fine and does not take up much room to pack. I use a Braum hand mixed that comes with a thick plastic cup you can use to mix your protein drink. I have been using the hand mixer for years without any problems. Enjoy!

WOW - And I thought the only thing blenders were used for was to make Pina Coladas!!!:p

. . . and black and white malts! At least that's what DS thinks my blender is for. I also like to make protein drinks in the morning so I am glad to know they are sometimes available. Annmarie
