Just writing up our ceremony and looking at others. We are not going to have a part where someone hand the rings over so where do we keep them, how does this part of the ceremony work??? (we have guest and a flower girl)

thanks

I'm going to have my DFi keep them. He'll give them to the officiant when he asks for them. We don't have a bridal party either.

Is DFI stand for father-in-law? So he is just sitting with the guests and will get up and hand them to you?

I could have my cousin keep them.

Thank you so much for your quick response!!

No, my fiancé will hold them. You could even give them to the officiant before hand and he won't have to ask for them.

My hubby looked after them and then gave them to the officiant before the ceremony.

This was back in 2006 (sooo long ago, lol) and DH held onto them until the officiant asked for them, he hung onto them until it came to that part of the ceremony. Easy peasy!

Giving them to my DH makes the most sense. thanks all

Our officiant took them from DH before the ceremony started. It was no problem.

We didn't have a best man, but had a "Best Woman". She had a bouquet just like the bridesmaids. The floral coordinator arranged for her bouquet to have a longer ribbon on it than the other bridesmaids. We tied the rings on the ribbon from her bouquet. It made for pretty pictures, and worked out great! We toyed with having the officiant hold the rings, but wanted someone in our party to do it, so this was our solution.

We were thinking since there are 4 of us, my older daughter will be the best woman for my finacee, and my younger daughter will be my flower girl/moh (leading me down the aisle with a basket of flower petals....). Right before the ceremony we are going to give them each one ring to hold, then trade them during the ceremony for a family Disney necklace we are getting made for each of them :P

Awww!

We're not traditional but we are full of romance :D

If anyone has suggestions though I am all ears! I really like the idea of the longer ribbon for the rings, but there is NO WAY my tom boy is carrying flowers. I'm lucky I won the bet to make her wear a dress! :dance3:

How sweet and thoughtful.

I am just going to make the groom hold them. I am so klutzy and honestly if any bride was to lose her ring down the slats of SBP it would be me. It doesn't matter if they wouldn't quite fit it would for me. Even though I know that no one else would drop them I am can't get the picture out of my mind. He can have the responsibility.

We didn't have any bridesmaids or groomsmen so I just had my sister hold them and come up from her seat when the officiant asked for them. It worked perfectly and was a good way to include her!
