No Balloons at AKL?

Iam trying to set something special up for my upcoming trip to WDW. My partner and I are celebrating 10 yrs and I wanted Gift if a lifetime to do the room decorating. I was told by Jane that AKL does not allow balloons because of the animals. Could this be true?

That makes sence to me. Ballons are dangerous to have around children and animals are no different, they don't know any better. Congratulations on 10 yrs, I'm sure you will find something else to decorate your room

What do they do when you buy those mickey balloons in the park and you bring them back to your room? just curious.

until you check out or make a cut in them to deflate them. No balloons allowed. Sorry

Ask them what people do to decorate. I'm sure they have had many different people have many different ideas!!!
Might be a time to get fun and creative!!!

Mrs Jane, has come up with a few ideas but will not tell me. We will be there 06/01/04. I will let everyone know what she does when I return.

They are essentially "confiscated" by someone from bell services as you exit the bus and head into the AKL. Trust me, it isn't a pleasant experience when you're with a child and don't know the rule. I know about the rule now, and completely understand it, so, we choose not to stay at AKL.

AKL will do a great job. My DH surprised me when we stayed there by having disney floral send up a beautiful vase of flowers. They came in a great vase with the formal (wedding) M & M on them. He also had AKL send up a bottle of wine and some glasses. I didn't know he was doing this and I had them decorate for his birthday and leave a HB cake. They had streamers all over the table and left everything there. They even left a little gift from them for his BD. Won't tell you what so as not to ruin the surprise if they do something similar.
