No availability at 190-day mark?

I've been making daily reservations at the 190-day mark all week. This morning at 6 a.m. I tried to make a reservation for the Sci-Fi Dine In (the reservation I thought would be the easiest on my list to get).

The only restaurant showing any availability whatsoever for the whole day is Hollywood & Vine. All of the other restaurants in DHS are indicating that there is no availability all day.

What gives? How could all those restaurants be fully booked at 6 a.m. at the 190-day mark?

I was just about to start my own thread about the very same thing! I've had no trouble getting ADR's at the 190 day mark all week except today. I logged on at 6am and there were only two restaurants in all of Epcot available for dinner,(for 12/30) Biergarten and Akershus! So I took Biergarten and went back to switch my ADR for Biergarten on 12/28 to Teppen Edo and I was able to do that. But it puzzled me. I assume that the parks will be packed all that week, so why was easier for me to get an ADR earlier in the week? Presumably, those would be harder now since the 190 day mark passed. How can ALL of the restaurants in Epcot be booked already???

It's xmas week but it does seem odd everything is booked. Have you tried phoning in case trhere is a glitch online?

Remember people checking in a few days before will have already had chance to book those dates.

I could only get le cellier in the second week of my october trip at a time I wanted.

Good luck!

We had the same problem. Online only showed availability at 17 locations throughout Disney. We called at 7 to see if it was a glitch, but the CM couldn't find any availability either. It makes me a bit worried about booking tomorrow for NYE.

Wow!!! That is too bad for all of you. I hope you eventually get what you want. That is why we dont do the DDP, too much muss and fuss for me....dont want to plan my whole vacation around eating.....:rotfl2: Have a great time all!!!! Ill be cheering for you...:cheer2:

Thanks! We don't do the DDP either. However, it's insane to be at Disney during Christmas without ADRs. We'd much rather have a guaranteed place to sit down and eat without a long wait. The lines for counter service can literally take hours, and that's not our idea of fun. :)

I think people tend to stay longer during the holidays (i.e. two weeks instead of one, which means that people will have their window open longer than those booking just one week (that makes sense.. I think..right?!?!)

Try at some places along the boardwalk or at DTD. you can take a boat there from some of the resorts, or walk there from Epcot. Might be a nice break from the crowds at the Parks.:goodvibes

It's too early to call. I'm trying to book at 190 days out using the online "glitch." My 180+10 date is not for another few days.

...Remember people checking in a few days before will have already had chance to book those dates.
Again, I'm trying to book at 190 days out. It's my understanding that NOBODY could have booked any earlier. To book on the phone today, somebody's arrival date would have to be 12/20/2010 (which is 180 days from now), and they would be booking for the last day of a 10 day vacation. Nobody could have booked before today if I understand things correctly.

However, only 17 restaurants in all of WDW show any availability at any time for 12/30/2010 (190 days from now). The remaining 52 restaurants had no availability for any time all day as of 6 a.m. this morning. That is impossible, unless Disney is blocking out those restaurants.

How could 17 restaurants be available for any time all day, and the rest not have one open slot? It's not even like restaurants have been gradually filling up over the last two hours. They were full at the start.

Something strange is going on...

For a specific example, California Grill is available, but the Diamond Horseshoe has no availability for any slot all day.

There are tons of other less popular restaurants that are also supposedly completely booked for every slot all day.

There's no rhyme or reason to what's available and what's not.

Corwin...I think you're right. Something odd is going on. We arrive on 12/19, and this morning is our 180+10 for 12/30. It couldn't have been booked before today. It just doesn't make sense that so many restaurants were completely unavailable when booking began at 6am.

I agree that it's weird. I just logged in again to see how many restaurants are completely booked and there are tons. As I said there are only two in all of Epcot with any availability at all. Does anybody book 6:30am for breakfast?? In any case, we were planning on doing DHS on NYE but eating outside the park because there is nothing in the park that appeals to us. I just hope that we get reservations. I really don't want our only option to be counter service in DHS! I made sure that I had second and third choices for each meal that I wanted to book, and until this morning, I didn't need them. I'm a little worried about tomorrow because I only have two choices. (Cape may Cafe and Kouzzina) I have to check the website and see if there are any other decent places easily accessible from DHS so that I have more choices. This is nuts!

Thinking about this more, it could be that the other restraunts are not loaded into the computer yet. Keep trying. They might have fixed the online glitch as well.

Try online later. Same thing happened to me last week when i was trying to book Kona I was so sad because the kids and I were really looking forward to trying it. Well I went back on around 11am and I had all but 3 or 4 places available and was able to get my Kona ADR at 6pm. I think they are having problems loading everything. The adr I was trying to make was for Christmas Eve so it was definatly a busy day.

I would assume something is wrong with the system, or the restaurants you are trying to get have not been loaded yet. There's pretty much no chance they're all booked up already. 190 days isn't normal and they may have figured out something was wrong with the system and be trying to fix it, too.

A arrival of 12-19 has a 180 day of 6-22. You can then book up to 10 days which is 12-29. You woud then need to call back at 180 days again for the 30th. which is July 3. This is what I use to get the dates http://pscalculator.net/.

Not true according to our calculator, which we've used for the past 10 years, and Disney. We booked for 12/30 with an arrival date of 12/19 online and with a CM this morning. :)

No change from this morning. The same 17 restaurants have openings all day on 12/30 (190 days from today), and the other 52 restaurants are not available at any time.

This is very frustrating. I know this week is going to be extremely busy, so I wanted to try to get all of my ADRs as soon as possible.

I don't care whether Disney follows the 180+10 rule, or 190-day rule, or whatever. Some consistency would be nice, though. It's very frustrating to play their game when the rules keep changing.

I tried to make reservations first thing this morning for lunch at 50's on Dec. 30 (190 days out) and no availability all day. I really believe it is a glitch in the system, or a hold on certain locations. Earlier this week when I tried to make an ADR for Le Cellier no luck, at first I thought it was because of the popularity of the restaurant, but I could get a 7:15. I heard it was because they were holding spots for the CP package. I believe it to be true because all of the rest. participating in the CP package were booked. The reason I could get 7:15 is because that is too late for their packages. Just my speculation. I am going to keep trying for my lunch at 50's.
