We're going to WDW May 11-17. I had booked most of our ADR's weeks ago but just got around to calling this week for the last night - May 16. I know, I know, it was late. But I was really surprised that i couldn't get either Liberty Tree, Chef Mickeys or Whispering Canyon before 8 p.m. that night. Any other suggestions? I thought about Rainforest but I don't think they take ADR's - do they? We're spending the day in MK so I was hoping for something convenient to MK. We're staying offsite with a car so I guess we can eat somewhere offsite if we need to.

For TS around the MK, try
Crystal Palace, Tony's or the Plaza

Contemporary:
California Grill

Polynesian:
Kona or 'Ohana's

Grand Floridian:
Citricos, Narcoosee's, 1900 Park Fare

Grand Floridain Cafe is usually easy to get into and the food was pretty good. Just a thought in case you can't get any of the others.

What about Kona or the Grand Floridian Cafe?

Or go to DTD, there are a ton of choices there

The DAK location does take ADRs through the Disney system. You can call the DTD location direct.

Grande Vista is a wonderful resort. We've stayed there a couple of times. If you golf definitely take advantage of the on site course, small but just a nice way to spend a couple of hours.

Personally I think its your last night and you don't get to take advantage of EMH as an off site guest. I think an 8pm or so ressie can be good timing. Eat and get back to MK for your final Wishes; a great close in my book.

You also have the Concourse Steak House at the Contemporary (walk or short monorail ride from MK). I think reservations are fairly easy to get there and I've heard it's pretty good.

The DTD Rainforest takes ressies, I called Disney Dining and they gave me the number. Kona's wasn't hard to get a short notice reservation on, either. (I am the queen of last minute! :rolleyes1 ).

I thought of them too, but official word is that they're closing on 5/10/2008. :sad1:

That was the word, but that has changed recently. The Concourse Steak House is now scheduled to close on May 31st. I'm staying at the CR in May so I've been keeping a close eye on that stuff. Thanks to "CR Resort Fan 4 Life" for keeping me up to date. :thumbsup2

I called Downtown Disney Rainforest and they take ressies up to 6 months out. So I booked them for our last night. I had wanted to take DS there anyway. And we'll probably want to do some last minute souvenier shopping. I feel better now. I can still try for Chef Mickeys or LTT but if I don't get them I don't have to worry.

Thanks everyone!

If you want something in MK, try the Plaza Restaurant. Good food, and it's usually not too hard to get into :thumbsup2 It's very convenient- right on Main Street USA & close to Tomorrowland. Good luck!

For the MK, I'd try either Crystal Palace or Tony's.

Be aware though that the 16th is a Pirate and Princess Party night, so ADR times are a bit wacky to begin with. I made my reservations for CP for the 16th back in November, and the latest seating they had for dinner was around 5:20 or so. And sadly, as of my last check, no Spectro or Wishes that night, but you could go somewhere like California Grill or Ohana's and see the special PPP fireworks from either resort.

Best of luck to you no matter what you decide! :wizard:
