HI
My wife and I are takig a last minute trip in Sept for a three day weekend. WE have made no ADR as of yet what are the odds of being able to get a couple of seats say at Canada and Ohana's once there. We have not really made a plan of attack as this is more of a get-a-waythen anything else.

Thanks in Advance Dave

Why don't you try calling right away for ADR's? You may still be able to find available times.

I wouldn't count on getting in at LeCellier in Canada, there have been several people posting that they either had a hard time getting ADR's (even at close to 90 days out) or if they didn't have an ADR they were turned away. Not to say it will be the same in Sept, but I'd make an ADR for that one.

That's when the free dining plan is happening. I doubt that you'd be able to walk up and be able to eat at Le Cellier and Ohana. They're both very popular places. Why don't you call now and see if any ADRs are available? :)

I just called last night for 9/29 - 10/9 and couldn't get reservations for dinner at LeCellier, Ohana, 1900 or Whispering Canyon. I doubt you will be able to get a set if you walk up. Good luck!

I got a 7pm for LeCellier for 10/2 and called yesterday morning. When I booked last week they told me there was no availability. I called yesterday to book CP for breakfast, asked about LeCellier again and got it.

Keep trying! You never know what may open up!

I'm leaving tomorrow for an 8-night stay, but didn't do ADR's until last week when I switched over the dining plan. Got all my requests, Dinner at Ohana, Tepanyaki, Boma, Whispering Canyon, Cape May, and lunch at Marakesh, amd breakfast with Donald. Have on Sitdown left, trying to figure out where to use.

Moral of the story- Call and see what is available.

we had a problem getting teppanyaki for a time we wanted and my TA strongly suggested calling from onsite, as when you use the button on your resort phone it alerts them that you are onsite/resort guest and will increase your chances of getting a "walk in" spot... another option is to ask guest services to make ADRs for you when you check in... last year we were unable to get PSB in advance but had no problem when calling that morning from our room phone... it's certainly worth a try!

Depending on whether you care if you're eating early or not, show up at the podium earlier than opening for dinner. Even if they're booked for PSs, they still take a number of walk ups. We've had no problems doing this anywhere we've tried, even on holidays.

Also, we usually never have problems making PSs for just the two of us. I was able to easily get one this morning for CRT dinner at the end of September.

I'd definitely suggest calling right away. I just called for a 10/19 dinner reservation at Le Cellier (aka Canada) and there were no 2-person reservations left! :earseek:

I had the same problem this week with getting LeCellier for the first week of October. Apparently there are plenty of 4 person tables available but very few 2-person tables left. I finally got it on the 5th date I asked for.

Ohana's was easy my choice, so far booked out for LeCellier but will keep trying

Thanks again.

PS not really picky a Hot Dog at the Magic Kingdom is still better then the finest meal at home

I got our ADR's when we got there. No problem for either in August.
