No AAA discounts in 2015?!?

Just got off the phone with Disneyland reservations and was told that starting in 2015, Disneyland will not longer offer AAA discounts because they are "no longer partnering with AAA". Anyone else have this same experience? Does anyone know whether this applies to room only reservations or packages as well?

I would say anything that used to be a perk by booking through AAA won't be happening again.

I do know that about 6-8 months ago AAA stopped partnering with Disney Cruise Lines and all perks that AAA used to offer there (onboard credits, and at the end, photo packages) have stopped.

It seems like anything you could get through AAA was the same as what Costco or GetAwayToday was offering. For free! With the internet as it is, anyone can find the "freebies" offered.

On another note, it seems as if Disneyland doesn't need all these discounts. They've cut off the SoCal passes. Now AAA is out the door. Their gates seem to be be overflowing - enough that they want people to start paying full price. I sure don't like it, but it seems their business model is heading this way.

sad to see it go, we always go through AAA. We plan on upgrading to AP this year so next year I would be booking rooms only and I can always get a AAA at the hotels on our own. I hope that they could still hook us up with the Disneyline airport travel like this year.

I called Disney reservations a few days ago and was also told no AAA discounts for next year . I was specifically inquiring about room-only discounts. The CM did say I could call AAA directly if I wanted to book a package. I didn't pursue that route because I don't want a package, so I can't speak to whether or not there are discounts on that. I'm bummed because the rates for our stay are pretty high (about 10 days after Easter) and that AAA discount would've made it a little easier to swallow!

You and I are on the same page. We were looking for a week after Easter. Maybe we'll hit Powerball before we go. . .
