No 4th Blow-out, No Fireworks

I just called City Walk guest services, because I couldn't find the info about the 4th of July Blow Out on their website any more. I was told there is NOTHING special going on, on the 4th of July, that fireworks have been cancelled because of the Harry Potter Construction. I had planned a whole romantic evening around the 4th fireworks.

Talk about disappointing.

Does that mean there won't be fireworks at all anymore?

From what I gathered, ALL fireworks have been cancelled. I guess it's a "fire hazzard" with the Harry Potter construction. It's very disappointing....I had planned the whole timing of the trip around the 4th celebration. (it's me and DBF's 1st Anniversary)

YOu will just have to create your own fireworks- since it is your anniversary that shouldn't be too hard!

Please call 407-224-4233 and choose option 9 to speak to a GS representative. Nothing is official yet and I certainly wouldn't assume that New Years Eve is out

Thanks Phantom - just called GS again at the number you gave. She said still no fireworks for the 4th, but to check again later.

Definitely stay tuned for more info. I'm hoping they will do a spectacular 360 show instead.

Since I'm in the area, we'd usually drive to this parking lot and watch the fireworks from there. Each year, it's gotten harder and harder to see them because they've gotten closer & closer to the ground. :/ It seems like it's the same year after year, anyways. Stinks that they won't have any, though.

Big, Big, Bummer! We loved the fireworks the last 4th we spent at Universal four years ago! I'm glad we didn't sign up for the Margaritaville fireworks deck party for $100. Then I'd be really bummed. Oh well, thank goodness there are tons of other things to enjoy at Universal Resorts! Somehow, I think we wil still hae a spectacular time as always!

The fireworks are the best I have ever seen at Universal! Sucks that it won't be happening this year on our trip. I was looking forward for a goof 4th. but there is still 360 to look for

not sure if this another factor, but my DH does fireworks locally & they were all talking about how the china ports are closed for 3 months for inspections, etc & that ALOT of "shooters" had to cancel or pay BIG $$$$ to get any fireworks!!!!
its gonna be interesting to see what happens this year with fireworks???

Do you know if the 360 show will go on throughout July, or is this just for the 4th ? My trip is at the end of July. We soo love the fireworks display.

I honestly don't know. The cancelling of the regular fireworks show surprised me too. I'll let you know as soon as I hear. I'm hopeful that the 360 show with laser and fireworks will continue through the summer.
