NJ brides - need a little help!

Can anybody who had their wedding reception in NJ recommend a good DJ? I want simple, not someone who's crazy and loud but will talk a little when appropriate. Basically, I just want someone who will do and play exactly what I tell him, including someone who will play cds that I give. ( I don't expect many djs to have the disney songs that I must include!) The google search is just so overwhelming! Thanks!

Nonononooo! I was making a joke mostly. We, um.. had a problem with some people on there, not on the Jersey boards but just on those boards in general. Nothing wrong with your question at all!! I do hope you can find the info you're looking for on there. I found a lot of good information on the North Jersey knottie forum before I decided on a Disney wedding.

OMG I totally recommend the DJ we used for our at home reception. His name is Paul and he is from DJ's Available in Moorestown NJ which is in SJ.

They are awesome,especially Paul and only 600 dollars..you can't beat that. You will be happy with them.

Yeah, the girls on the NNJ Knot board are really helpful. But you might want to just browse through a couple of their pages to see if the question was asked recently. I post on there sometimes and the girls are nice, but they sometimes get annoyed when people post a question and the same thing is like 3 posts ago just bc they don't want to repeat the same recommendations every 10 minutes Where in NJ are you?

I got a really good dj in north jersey...

We had him 10 years ago at my high school prom then my best friend used him for her wedding in 2004. I had planned on using him until we decided to have a disney wedding. I actually wish i could use him in fly him down..

He is located in fairfield, nj 20 mins outside of nyc

His name is Dave... Ask to have him he is the owner... Tell him you were recommended from the maid of honor from the Bocchino/Fox wedding in june 04 at perona farms... and the morris catholic 98 prom lol..

You might get a discount too...

He was also on last season's next food network star... when they did a wedding he was the dj at it...

I too am using Paul from DJ's Available for my Oct. 2008 wedding! Was he as good as I'm hoping he will be? He seems like he's a pretty funny guy & able to get the crowd going! I hope so, that is what we want. I went to one of their mock wedding receptions & I loved him!
