My two daughters (ages 12 and 8) both want a Nintendog for Christmas. Does anyone (or their child) have one? If so, what do you think of them?

I got the DS and Nintendog for my DD's birthday in September. It is the most adorable game ever! I can see where some older kids might get bored with it kind of quickly, but my DD hasn't at all. :dog2:

My son and daughter both want one too. I have played it in the store and it looks like fun. :dog2:

9yodd has it. I would suggest getting it now. Since it came out it is hard to get the games. By Christmas you won't be able to get your hands on one.
There are 3 games.

I bought 2 of them. But have to wait til christmas to give them to the kids. I hope they are as good as the reviews.

DD 10yrs bought one with her money right when they came out. It is by far her favorite game. She got it when Toysrus offered a free nintendog DS backpack free w/purchase. She wanted the Lab one. :paw:

DD11 got one the day they were released at the end of August.
She loves it. DS7 wants one & she won't let him play with it.

Last night she spent the night at a friend's house so DS7 said to me "Mom, I'm gonna play her Nintendogs while she's gone, but don't tell her. O.K.?"

I guess I'm going to have to get him one too. :)

OK, who can explain what it is, sounds like my DS would like it. Thanks! :dog2:

Both my DD and DS has Nintendogs and they both LOVE IT!!! It is really cute - I bought them both different versions because with the wireless connection with the DS they can share. So now both have dogs from the others game on theirs. THe more you play the more you can unlock all breeds of the dogs on your game.

Peanme - it is really cute - it is basically a virtual pet , kind of a more advance version of Tamagotchi - You pick a puppy then you train it , feed it and walk it. It is really fun and the puppies are all so cute!!

According to the back of the Nintendog case:

"Give a puppy a new home inside your NINTENDO DS! Your favorite breed is waiting, so take one home with you, then care for & train it using the Touch Screen Microphone".

DD11 & DS7 love it. The player gets to take care of dogs. I always here DD11 saying into the microphone "SIT, SIT". The barking sounds sooo real too. Somehow the player can play alongside another player with their Nintendogs also.

Both of my kids, 12 and 9, bought Nintendogs with their own money shortly after it came out. They both love it! They play it all the time, it's very cute.

They have Nintendog DS bundles now. This includes a colored DS along with a special version of Nintendogs.

DD loves hers and just needs the chihuahua version to complete her set.

They have Nintendog DS bundles now.

I just bought the Teal Nintendog DS bundle for myself at Target last week. I spend alot of time in my car sitting and waiting for kids to get done practicing whatever it is they are practicing that day.

It is hard to get a chance to play with it though because my 12 year old son keeps stealing it from me.

The bundles come in Teal and Pink. From what I understand, Pink is much harder to find.

Right now, I have the Sims 2 game in my Nintendo DS. As soon as I finish it, I plan to play Nitendogs.

I also want Animal Crossing and Operation when they are released.

No. We have a Beagle and a Shih-Poo.

For those who have the bundles: What is the little doggie bone for? Also, do you need to purchase a seperate game for it, since it is designed for Nintendog?

I think the bone is supposed to be to clean the screen - I'm not sure.

I'm not clear what you are asking. The bundle is a Nintendo DS handheld system with the Nintendog game cartridge included. It isn't really "specially designed" for Nintendogs -- just a prettier color than the standard silver ones. You can purchase additional games for it just as with any other Gameboy.
