Nintendo Wii question

Does anyone know if the Nintendo Wii gameing system will come out with something new for Christmas?If so what will be the difference from what is out now?I know they are always hard to find around Christmas,just wondering if now is the time to get one or what for anything new.Thanks

Tough call. they've been talking about DVD playback for a while now and can do it but haven't yet. I'd be careful about waiting too long. Sales will go up a little when the kids go back to college and in November the stores will be getting some but won't be allowed to put them on the shelves till Black Friday probably. If you can, grab one where you could return it within the 90 day period (or whatever the store offers) if something comes out in Nov or Dec.

Another rumor is an external hard disk that you can plug into an existing Wii for more storage, but that shouldn't effect your decision at all.

Personally I'd buy one in the next few weeks and check back with gamestop or bestbuy to see if they are taking any pre-orders for a new style console. That will tell you if the rumors are true.

They MIGHT. I repeat MIGHT have them come with the new Wii Sports Resort. But I doubt it b/c you have to have the Wii Motion Plus. So I very much doubt that they will have a new bundle. But Xbox 360 has a new one every year. And you should be safe in buying a Wii anytime. The demand for them has gone way down.
