There is a girl in my son's class that really has nothing. She is having her first ever party this week and a couple of us decided to get her what she is asking for as a group gift. And it's a DSi. So anyone see any deals lately? I'm guessing we'll get Pink.

awwwww, how nice of you!

I haven't seen any deals lately but try amazon.com. THeir prices are pretty good and you don't pay sales tax which saves an extra couple bucks.

Good luck! I hope you find a deal.

That is so nice of you!

I would start by comparing prices on Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart and Target. We got my son a DSi for Xmas. The best deal I found at that time was $150 at Best Buy for a special edition Mario Party version that came with the Mario Party DS game. I think there had been some Black Friday deals that were a little better than what we paid.

Target has the best price at the moment, just researched this item for my daughter

I don't know how you might feel about this...but what if you went to GameStop and got a used one? Then you would be able to get her more games for the system? The systems there are all certified to work, but I don't know if they come with the boxes or not. We've gotten lots of games for DS there.

I bought one for dd at Christmas. I found that prices were pretty consistent everywhere - but NewEgg had $0 tax and $0 shipping. It turned out to be the best overall deal. I also tracked the price daily for about 4 weeks - both before and after Christmas. It never seemed to change.
