Anything anyone can tell me about Nine Dragons restaurant in Epcot? I've never been and my husband is interested. Any good/bad/ugly reviews? Thanks!

I was just there on 5/3/09. This is the first time I have been there since the new menu and updated restaurant. My family is a huge fan of this place. The food is expensive (it is Disney) and seems to have gone up. We had the lemon chicken and a beef dish. All were great. Don't plan on being wow'd but the food is good. Just my opinion.

We were there for lunch on that Sunday. It was the first day of our trip and the parks were not busy at all. There were about 10 servers waiting on the side to help their table. So the park being empty may explain that. We got the food really quick. We were in and out and were a table of 4. I think it really depends on when you go. Generally my experience with the restaurant is....when most other restaurants are filled up we can always get in here. Food always comes quickly. Hope this helps. :goodvibes

Good to hear. I placed an ADR at Nine Dragons this morning when I could not get booked into Le Cellier.

I do have a specific question on the menu. I see there is a "family special" that comes with soup, entree, & dessert. Is this available for the DDP? In addition, can kids order this special?

You will have to ask someone else on that. Never did the DDP. Maybe you should post another thread just specifically for that. It's funny, I have eaten there several times when I couldn't get into Le Cellier. Have fun at Disney and enjoy 9 dragons!

We ate there on 5/17. It was great we had the special and it was included on the dining plan. They even allowed you to substitute the entree if they weren't to your liking. We had the honey/sesame chicken. It was awesome! The only complaint we had was that we didn't care for the ginger cake. It left a funny aftertaste.

thank you!

I love Nine Dragons. It's one of my favorite restaurants at Disney World. I've never had a bad meal there. I love their General Tso's chicken (it's not on the menu, but it's usually a special). The honey chicken is great as well.

We had dinner there a few weeks ago and loved it. We ordered the shrimp/taro lollipops and egg rolls for appetizers and they were very good. Got the honey sesame chicken and the shrimp with pepper noodles for entrees and those were equally great. THe best part was the dessert, banana cheesecake eggroll. Can't say enough good things about it.

We ate at 9D for the first time on our Christmas trip on the DxDDP and it was great...food and service. We were able to sneak a quick weekend trip last month without a dining plan and still thought enough of it to pay OOP (and it was our only TS meal)!!! Love the Honey Sesame Chicken and DH was thrilled with the fried rice. HTH

I am not a fan of this place... It was just medicore for me... I felt that I got better chinese food at home... that is just my opinion though... I have not been there in about 2 years though... :confused3

Hey lifeafterkids and others....

If you haven't tried 9 Dragons since the refurb, you must!! It is wonderful!!! I agree with previous posters, the general's chicken served on spinach noodles as well as the shrimp/taro lollipops were excellent!!! Friends had both of the soups as well as the noodle sampler...one spicy, one not. Loved that too!! Service excellent as was the decor.

If I can figure out how to post pics, I will!!

Next, the soups...

Next the beef cong you bing!!

Another positive experience here.

Had lunch on May 9. Good food, good service. Nothing that was overly exciting but a good quality meal & experience. Nice.

Nine Dragons... no, don't go there...

(Some of us like the fact that there's a relatively quiet restaurant in WDW where we can always get ADRs, and even walk up to for a spur of the moment TS meal! ;))
