Anyone have any reviews for Nine Dragons restaurant in EPCOT? My ds10 just loves Chinese food is this a good choice for him?

The general take on this restaurant is that its overpriced and the food is not as good as you'll get in your own home town. You should be able to see some reviews at the link posted above.

We had an excellent meal there this past May, click on my link in my signature for lots of pictures

Well after looking at the menu and all the other available options for dinner at EPCOT that night I think we will stick with it as I don't see anything else my 10 year old would eat. It's a bit harder making ADR's now that he is on he adult plan.

We really like it. We normally have lunch there, but this time, we're having dinner--just the way it worked out.

Have you eaten there?

We ate at Nine Dragons once. We thought the food was ok. I did not like how close the tables were to on another....If your son loves chinese food I think you should try it. I think it pays to try every walt disney world restaurant at least one time.

It should be fairly easy to get a reservation there as well. and I think depending on the time of year you go it could be easy to just walk up and eat as well. It's not one of the more popular restaurants at world showcase.

Well yes, we can get better Chinese food in our home town..but when we are at Disney and my DH needs his Chinese food fix, that is not an option.;)

So we have tried it the past 2 trips and have very much enjoyed it. The service is excellent and the food is very good. We have used the Dining Plan and they have a very nice 3 course meal to choose from. The appetizers are average but we have all enjoyed our main course. DH really likes the Canton Pepper Beef and the Kung Pao Chicken. We honestly skip dessert here because we have no desire to waste sugar intake on anything when the Caramel Shop in Germany is just a few steps away.

You can get better everything in your hometown and for less money than at Disney with very few exceptions so that argument has not ever made much sense to me...

We had a nice lunch there last year and were pleasantly surprised. Our server was extremely nice and friendly and the food was pretty good. Huge portions. The bowl for my fried rice was the size of a football helmet, haha. We would go back.

Agree with this completely....only Kimonos outdoes my local favorites, we have mediocre sushi where I live.

We like Nine Dragons. Have had good meals and good service.

Been here on many occasions and always had good food. I don't go anymore simply for the fact that I have lots of good asian dining options in Chicago. But if you have a craving for chinese, Nine Dragons is a good place. Plus you don't have to worry about ADRs there.

We have Asian restaurants pretty much on every corner here and my family still requests Nine Dragons every trip. The honey sesame chicken is one of our now teen aged daughters favorites and I always get the Kung Pao chicken. Items are flavorful and well seasoned, only complaint is that the portions have definitely shrunken in the past few years, they used to bring out patters of entree and two could easily share. Other than that, no complaints here.

I enjoy Nine Dragons. I think it is easy to get a table because it is comparably inexpensive. Most people on a dining plan would not use a credit on a restaurant with most entrees below 20.00. I think it is a beautiful restaurant, and I like the views from windows.

Thanks for your review! We are on the dining plan, but only had to pay for the upgrade from free dinning to regular dinning so I think it will be worth it, plus finding a place in EPCOT my picky 10 year old will eat is almost priceless ;)

I love to walk around the China pavilion, wander inside the museum, and then visit the restaurant. The whole experience is well worth it. Have a great trip!

I strongly recommend the counter service restaurant in China Pavillion. It's next to Nine Dragon.

The food in that restaurant is as authentic Chinese as you can get in a US restaurant. Their dumplings and beef noodle bowl are to die for.

Thank you everyone, we will be sticking with our choice of Nine Dragons on our EPCOT day!
I had funky chicken once years ago at the China QS so I've avoided chinese all together at Disney, so I'm interested in your review when you get back!

May want to give it a try!
