We've already booked several TS restaurants because of the dining plan. One of them is Nine Dragons. My mom and I were trying to decide between Nine Dragons & Le Cellier. I've already looked up both menus, but was wondering if there's anyone who's eaten at both... and what do ya'll recommend? Thanks!

Eaten at both, I vote for Le Cellier. Nine Dragons is Chinese food at its worst. Tried it twice: the first time, my husband got sick after we ate there; the second time (several years after the first time), we were disappointed. Bad food.
Le Cellier has its charm. Probably not the best steak, but it's worth a try. You can get good Chinese food anywhere, right?

Thanks very much! I may have to switch...

We love Le Cellier. It was a fav place in Disney. It was a must do for us twice a trip, however the last two times there it was not good. Service was not good and the food was not near like it used to be. We also enjoy eating at Nine Dragons in China each trip. It has always been good and the service is good. My kids also love Nine Dragons.

I love these boards becuase you will find good and bad with everything.:rotfl:

ITA...nobody in our travel party got sick...however, we highly enjoyed Le Cellier and we were only "so so" on our Nine Dragons meal. We have had much better Chinese food in our home town. That said, it all depends on what sort of food you like best. Good luck with your decision! :)

Guess Im in the minority. I really enjoyed my meal at Nine Dragons.

I did enjoy Le Cellier (mostly for the pretzel bread) and my meal there was just okay, nothing all that spectacular.

Id go to Nine Dragons again, but probably not Le Cellier.

I have had great meals at both places but if told me I could only pick one it would definitely be Le Cellier. The food is great and I love the atmosphere there. More value for you dining plan dollar also!

I preferred the food and the atmosphere at Nine Dragons. I have only done each once and want to try them both again. I was however not impressed with LeCellier. I was expecting much more because of the great reviews it gets on this board. Nine Dragons is not a board members favorite and I was pleasantly surprised with my experience. ????

I think the fact that everyone has at least one Chinese restaurant in their own neighborhood keeps Nine Dragons from being something special. It's the same reason I have a hard time buying anything in the China pavilion that says "made in China." It's just not that unique. Now, something that says "made in the USA," that's something I'll buy, because it's rare;)

My family has been to both restaurants at least 3 times and I'd have to say we prefer Nine Dragons. Both have good food, but the service is better and faster at Nine Dragons. Also, we've never had to wait for our table at Nine Dragons whereas we always have to wait at Le Cellier. A year ago we had lunch at Le Cellier and it took well over two hours due to a long wait for our table and then extremely slow service.

Definitely Le Cellier. I can get better Chinese food at the take-out by my house, for 1/3 the price.

My family prefers Nine Dragons. We had a wonderful meal at Le Cellier years ago, since then each steak dinner has been a disappointment, poor service(inattentive servers) and it was extremely tight between tables. JMHO, putting on my flameproof suit!

Depends on what you like to eat. If you want a steak, go for Le Cellier. If you like Chinese, then go for Nine Dragons. I'm picking Le Cellier because I have an excellent Chinese restaurant right near my house and we get takeout from there every Saturday. We rarely go to a steakhouse, so Le Cellier will be a special treat for us.

ive been to both and enjoyed both but i am returning to le cellier. nine dragons was fun to try but le cellier makes a repeat visitor out of you!

Thanks everyone for your input. I think my mom is going to call tomorrow and try to change it to Le Cellier. Like some of ya'll said- you can get good Chinese food just about anywhere... and I'm a very picky eater anyway. Also, I want to try the pretzel bread at Le Cellier. Thanks again everyone!!! :thumbsup2

PLEASE whatever you decide, don't cancel nine dragons before you get lecellier... I just called for 9/13-9/18, and/or 5/17-5/22 and LeCellier was booked solid for all dinners! So, keep what you have until you get the other, just in case.

Thank you SO much! I will make sure I don't cancel Nine Dragons first :thumbsup2
