I have a severe nut allergy, and Disney Chefs are amongst the best at accommodating it. They always help and make sure my dining experience is just as good as everyone else. However, we booked Boma last year for the first time, and the Chef was rude and the very opposite of what Disney prides themselves on. We ended up leaving, and headed over to Epcot. When we were there, we could not get in any place to eat (Fourth of July weekend crowds, and we had just lost our reservation bc we could not eat at Boma). We stumbled across Nine Dragons, however, and explained to them our situation. They were unbelievably nice, and helped us out. They honored our reservation with Boma as if it were for their restaurant, and sat us immediately. The staff was really nice, and very good at their jobs. The food was really good and in very large portions. We got the dumplings, egg rolls, xi xiang noodles, kung pao chicken, orange chicken, and caramel ginger and strawberry red bean ice creams. The food was way beyond expectations. I know there are mixed reviews about Nine Dragons, and I just wanted to give them the credit they deserve. I would recommend to anyone!

I enjoyed Nine Dragons too. I've eaten there on two separate trips and enjoyed it both times. I haven't been back since they went through the rehab though. I'm always surprised that people don't seem to like it.

We think it's delish!! It's now in our rotation. The fried rice was phenominal!!

That's awesome to hear a great review, especially how accomodating to you they were. Can I ask you do you have just tree nut allergies or a peanut allergy? We've always stayed away from Nine Dragons because of a peanut allergy, but would love to be able to try it someday.

Mmmmmm, yummy! Nine Dragons is a delicious restaurant. I too had the orange chicken a few years back and it all tasted so fresh and not frozen.

While I'm dis-heartened to hear about your experience at Boma, it's cool that 9D made up for it. When I first joined the Dis 9D was one of the most reviled restaurants on property. It was sometimes compared unfavorably to dog food.
Good to see some nice comments, would love to try it sometime.:earsboy:

Im so excited to hear this. After upteen trips to WDW, we had always gone back to our favorites. Now that the kids are older and I have a bunch of places on my bucket list, I think this year may be it for a while. I vowed to try all new places and Nine Dragons is on my list.

Thanks for the comments, I feel a lot better with my choice. Any good news about Biergarten and Rose & Crowne??!!:scared1:

My allergy is mostly to Pine nuts and other tree nuts... I can eat peanuts bc they are considered a legume. I'm not sure if they use peanut oils or not, but if you contact them before your trip i'm sure they would be happy to help :)

We tried Biergarten a few years back and the food was decent. From what I understand, it's pretty good for German food, but you have to really like German food. They have alot of sausages, snitchels, stuff like that... The atmosphere is one of the most fun restaurants in Disney, though. They have a traditional German band that plays and has fun with the crowd. Haven't been to Rose and Crown yet, but it is supposed to be a great place to watch Illuminations from the outside seating.

I've been craving Nine Dragons' honey sesame chicken for a week now. I think I may even sneak up there in a few weeks and have some by myself - before our dinner at Garden Grill ! Shame on moi but it's sooo good.
