Nine days to go until our first WDW vacation. I am sooo excited. I have been planning this vacation (itineraries, ADRs, etc.) for almost 5 months. I didn't run across this site until I went on WDW.com. I became obsessed with the dining ressies because we splurged and purchased the DxDP . Yes, purchased, I am so bummed that I missed out on this FREE Dining Plan thing. I didn't even know it existed until I was on this site. I must admit, though, I did find a code that saved me $40/day off my room at the CBR--that's $360 total. I am very thrifty, and I believe that I need to get the most for my money. My DH and DS14, have been laughing at me, because I have been making dining ressies for the entire stay. But as some of you may know, it is not as easy as it seems. I have obtained all of the ADRs I wanted, except, the Fantasmic package for 9/22. At this point, I am willing to settle for almost any dinner at the DHS, even counter service . Since school has started, I am almost too tired to care. I keep telling myself only 11, 10, 9 days to go.

Sounds like you got a great deal! Ok, so the meal plan thing didn't work as expected, but you did save some on the room so it sort of off-sets it.

We went to WDW for our very first time late last year and we have already been back again. And...we are now looking at dates for the early part of 2009 and hoping to go back for our 3rd. I am confident that this first trip will lead to many more Disney experiences and memories so go have a wonderful time!

We are going in 11 days. Arrive at GF on Monday, Sept. 22 and leave on Sat. Sept. 27th. We bought the DxDP too. I hope it works out. I've made all our reservations too. DH has no idea how much I've worked on making this trip a success. We have 4yo twins and are going to celebrate their bday (early). Have a great trip!

just got back from my all girl's weekend & MNSSHP that was even better than the last one!!!! we did KONA & Whispering Canyon for the first time and these 2 will be on our ADR list next time-- we're removing Cellier--also LOVED Cosmic Ray's for lunch--- back for only 4 days and already thinking when i can plan our next visit-- shameful

Ive been witness to your pain. Weve got 8 on a grand gathering. Ive been treating it like a wedding, just tell me where to show up and I'll be there.

However, the closer it's gotten the more I realize how important some of the planning has been. Especially since I found this place. I gotta give my wife and BIL props. Theyve made all the arrangements and it looks excellent on paper (ADR's park times,transportation and such). So If they laugh, ask em again when you get back if they had a good time. If they say that it went smooth, take it as a thanks for a job well done.

I have to wait for 71/2 weeks but I can do it, I have waited longer than that before. I usually plan in Jan. for a Dec. trip but this year I had knee replacement surgery in March. I didn't know if I would be able to go this year at all. I have made my arrangements just since August. And I did get free dining! I have never had the dining plan but once before and I had to pay for it then. I am looking forward to the Port Orleans French Quarter. Anybody out there ever stayed there? Do you like it? Any suggestions?

You are going to have a wonderful time!!!! Our first trip was in '07 and we kept telling our kids (then 7,7,and 8) that they had better make the most of it because it was a "once in a lifetime trip". By the 2nd day DH and I were already planning the next trip We returned this past spring and once again by the 2nd day were planning what we want to do next time. Now we have joined DVC and have 50 years of planning WDW trips ahead
