:wizard:I am currently searching for a camera that is a step up from my Olympus Stylus 1010. So far I have narrowed my search down to the Panasonic Lumix FZ35 or the Nikon P100. Both seem to have pretty much the same features. Does anyone have any opinions about either of these (or other) cameras? I like to take landscapes and outdoor photos, but am soon to be a grandmother and want a camera that can take good indoor and portrait shots. Thanks for any help or suggestions.

I'm bumping this because I really wanted some of your expert opinions about these 2 cameras!!! Anybody????

I just bought the FZ35. I also looked at the Canon SX20 and came home and researched both. I also researched the Nikon. What it came down to was the reviews overall were better for the Panasonic. I like that it has a lens cover, the optical zoom, it's not very big, and the reviews for the Nikon weren't all that great.

:wizard:Thanks for the link. I actually ordered the Lumix FX35 and it was shipped today! Should be here early next week. I can't wait to get it and start playing with it!

Hey photo board!

I recently purchased a Nikon coolpix P100 and am having a blast with it! I was wondering if anyone else has one and if so could you give me some tips/tricks. I'd also love to see some of everyone's best pics taken with this camera if possible! Thanks!

I have had this camera for about 6 months. I have played around with it & mastered many of the settings. I am still working on the more advanced settings. I've lucked out with some shots but get totally frustrated with others. I'd love some tips for this camera as well! I am struggling with when to use a faster shutter speed. Some of my action shots turn out really blurry.

I've had my Lumix FZ35 since May and for the most part I like it, but I find a lot of my shots come out blurry. I have a baby granddaughter and when I try to zoom in and take shots of her close up, they mostly come out blurry...and this is with little movement on her part. If I take 10 shots maybe 2 won't be blurry. I have much better luck outdoors with this camera...any suggestions?:confused3
