Nikki's trip report~Finally Complete! Come read. Pg 25

We got changed and went to the pool for a while. The clouds just wouldn't go away so we cut it short. Besides I wanted to surprise the boys with a Surrey bike ride.

We got dressed and headed to the Boardwalk. They were really disappointed because they couldn't drive. I started out driving. I had Lance freakin Armstrong and his brother in the back cause they were FLYING and I was trying not to hit people. I kept ringing the bell and ringing the bell.

Seriously are you picturing this??

Imagine you are just walking along minding your own business and out of nowhere you hear this ringing, you turn around and look and here comes this bike flying toward you!!

It's me!

I had to get on the boys a bit. I thought we were going to kill somone. We did 1 lap and Jay and I switched places so I could get some pics.

This is one of my favorites!!
Now this next picture is for all of you that are looking for actors or actresses.
Now for our debut-
ry%3D320

Oh those came out sooo good!

As for lance Armstrong there was someone else that mentioned lance Armstrong in their thread. But it was were was lance Armstrong because their daughter was in the back and didn't want to pedal.

OMG that pic from TT is hilarious! Those two other people with you look so freakin bored! HAHA!!!!! :lmao:

We are such posers!! I don't think they were people, they were Test Dummies. See the expressionless faces?

Really, they must have thought we were dorks!! I wonder if they talk about us as much as we talk about them when we are looking at pictures!! Huh! Maybe they even bought the picture.

The guy next to me is terribly white don't you think??

I totally commented on the picture with the surrey bike, and it's not here, it was a funny comment too and I can't remember for the life of me what I said. Oh well, that one is my favorite picture, it looks like an advertisement for something.

You just HAVE to remember. I need some funny right now!!

Thanks, I like it too. Think I can sell it to Disney???

Cmon' girl, THINK!!

This happened to me too! I swear, it took me like an hour to reply to a post because I was at work and people kept interrupting my DISing :rotfl2: and then when I went back into the thread later the next day, my comment wasn't there! :confused3

Okay everyone, well the 3 or 4 of you that have stuck with me on this report, here it is.....

The End.

I don't know if you remember where I left off or not, it has been a while.

We just finished our Surrey bike ride. It was time to head back to Epcot to finish our last evening at the World.

We had ressies at Le Cellier. This was the place I had been waiting for all week. It was so beautiful in the pics I had seen and I couldn't wait to see if it lived up to it's expectations.

We were early when we arrived in Canada. So we walked around and enjoyed the beautiful Faux waterful.
ry%3D320

Sorry that's a little dark but it's kind of cool eh?
ry%3D320

Then we moved on to individual pics. We really had some time to kill.
ry%3D320

ry%3D320

ry%3D320

ry%3D320

We STILL had more time to kill so we went into the store. I love Moose so this has to be my favorite store in the World Showcase. I have dreams of being a mountain momma. We decided to have a little fun. Robby needed a little provoking. Something like if you don't do this, you don't eat.:confused3 Suck it up little man!
ry%3D320

See how he has it sitting on his head. "it will mess up my hair"!!

Aren't they cute??:rotfl2:

It was finally time to check in. We go around and there are TONS of people. I couldn't believe all these people were waiting to eat dinner. I went to the counter and was giving a pager. There really isn't much to do while waiting. I was hoping like heck someone would get up and I could score a bench. My tootsies were hurting.

All of a sudden, for our enjoyment, this guy walks out.
ry%3D320

Then the boys wanted to take a picture.
Matt's
ry%3D320

Robby's
ry%3D320

About 20 minutes after checking in, our pager went off.

We were taken to our table. Oh my gosh this place is just beautiful. I was instantly in love. I can't remember what part of Canada we had been seated in but it didn't really matter.

Our server was a nice gentleman. Can't remember his name but he we like him. He took our drink order and appetizer order. I had the sausage and I can only remember Matt getting the Shrimp cocktail. Poor kid HATED it. It wasn't your average shrimp cocktail. It had some kind of Asian sauce on it.

The bread was out of this world. I got the mushroom filet for dinner. That was very tasty as well.

Finally it was time for dessert. I wanted the whiskey cake. But I also wanted a glass of the ice wine I had heard so much about on the disboards. I'm not a wine drinker at all so I wasn't sure how to order or what to order.

I asked the waiter about it and told him I don't care for wine so bring me the sweetest one he had.

He brings a glass and the wine. Pours the wine and hands me the bill. This stuff is so special it has it's own bill.

Here is where it gets funny.

The glass is a very small glass and he only filled it like 1/3 of the way full. I look at the bill.

20$ to pour and a 4$ tip added for pouring. :scared1: Are you freaking kidding me?? This stuff better be golden.

I take a drink.

:scared:

I really really don't like wine.

I wait for the waiter to come back and ask him if he puts the rest back in the bottle if I only have to pay for half of it?

Kidding I didn't, but you can bet I thought about it.

For 24$ though, I choke it down. I really should have kept the glass.

Anyway, we take care of the bill and we are off to explore the countries for the rest of the night.

I'm just going to show the pictures because you don't really need explanations.

I will add that after Morroco Matt wasn't feeling well from the shrimp so he asked if he could go back to the room. I was sad because it was our last night, but didn't want to deal with him whining. So I let him go.
ry%3D320

ry%3D320

ry%3D320

We had a bunch of Photopass pics taken. I was really surprised to see how many there were. Almost 1 in each country.

I'd also like to say World Showcase at night is the best. I just love it.

After our tour we went back and found a spot to watch Illuminations in France. It was slim pickens by the time we got there. I wanted to get a bottle of wine for my boss for X-mas. The show was starting so I thought I'd just wait until it was over and go in.

Okay, shows over. Grab the wine and go.

NOT!

Do you know that while you are being fully entertained by what is going on in front of you, everything behind you is closing up and locking the doors?

Bummer.

We head back to the Boardwalk. No boat for us. Sore feet and legs and bodies, we want to savor our last evening so we walk.

I don't know why but I took pictures of the weight room. This was a perk of staying there.
ry%3D320

ry%3D320

We got back to the room and packed up. What a mess we made. Lord have mercy!!

Finally packed up, it was time for bed.

We had a couple hours we could spare in the morning and one more day on our tickets.

Got up and headed back to the Magic Kingdom. Oh my gosh what a madhouse!!

They were doing some taping of the Christmas parade today. The whole center square was blocked off. They had the winners of Dancing with the stars in there being interviewed. We made it to Buzz Lightyear and managed to ride it a couple times. Hit the store on the Corner on Mainstreet and we were out of there. It was CRAZY crowded.

I was kind of sad, but I don't like going anywhere when it's like that so it made it a touch easier to leave. Back on the monorail, to the tram, to the truck.

I didn't even cry. It had been a wonderful vacation and it was time to go home. I was leaving not wanting more, I was full.

The saddest sign EVER!
ry%3D320

We headed north. This time we did stop for the night. We stopped before the Mountains in North Carolina. They are so pretty and I wanted to see them in the daylight.

Got up the next morning and headed out.

These are just random pics on our trip home.

Has anyone ever heard of Bone Lick?? This is really a place. I wish we had more time, cause I was real curious.

It was getting dark and we were in Ohio. Guess what happened?
ry%3D320

If you said snow, you were correct. It was getting down right treacherous. By the time we got to the turnpike it was freezing rain and sleeting. The cars that continued to fly by us as if nothing was wrong were later found in the ditches. Seriously. Every single one of them.

It was really bad and quite scary. I felt bad for Jay because I knew he was tired from driving.

But eventually we made it home, safe and sound. It was nice to be in our own beds again.

And from our very last morning!
ry%3D320

The photopass guy must have known what day it was for us because he had us do this.
ry%3D320

And there you have it. All finished. In a very timely manner right?? Hee hee!

Thank you for sticking with me. I hope to someday meet you guys, you've been great!

It's kind of sad because I'm pretty sure this was the last vacation with the boys I will have. Robby is already planning his future, 1800 miles away in Florida. Then I'm down to one. Where does the time go? Hopefully they will marry people that will let me take my grandchildren to Disney World. I guess I can look forward to that, but not anytime soon please!!

In 70 or so days I will be on to a new Disney adventure with my daughter. This is a VERY new thing for us. Hopefully we both come home alive. We tend to butt heads a little.

Well, I'm done. Rambled long enough.

Thanks again guys!!

Who knows mom, maybe i will be married a lot sooner than i thought. The 32 year old guy named steve was amazing and he even made me cry when he left. I think hes taking me to the air port when we go, and he does have some Zanax.
We will be down there soon. Can we have a Photo with us kissing like you and Jay. And you looked really pretty the last day you went to Magic Kingdom:) I also love how Jay is the happiest one in the hats!! whats that all about:confused3

Please oh please get to know him first!! But you can definitely get his Xanax, for me!

Jay is just wierd like that. He's happiest when he's acting goofy.

And ummmmm, no, you cannot have a kissing picture unless you hookup with someone there!

Thanks for the pretty comment!

Nikki's All done!!!! You managed to get it done before you left .. Great Job!!
Loved the Pictures . We didn't use photopass enough! I swear I will hunt them down next time! There were always way to many people in line for their pics to be taken. ANd we didn't have time to wait. Can't wait to read about your next trip

Wow Nik! you have some GREAT pics from Epcot! Those pics of Illuminations are really nice! I'm trying to save up money to get myself a really good lens and MAYBE a tripod so I can take some good fireworks pics. You know what's funny? How many times in my TR's have I said "I really need to learn how to use my camera..." well, I actually found a book at Barnes & Noble that kind of breaks it all down for you in real-people speak, and I actually found that my camera has...(are you ready for this?) a fireworks setting. Oh yeah. Now I'm mad. But this book was GREAT and I'm learning a lot of new tricks to get some better shots so hopefully I'll come back from my next trip with a lot of good pictures.

Glad you guys made it home safe! Don't those crazy people who drive like 90mph during sleet/snow just freak you out? It's like you just KNOW what's going to happen to them but I always worry that they are the ones who are going to cause ME to get into an accident and they'll be the ones to make it home safe and sound. I hate that....

Anyway, you and Brandi better get crackin' on that PTR! Now that you're done with this one, I need something to read!!

Matt and I had a thing going. When I told him about Photopass before we left we decided we were on a mission to see how many pics we could get. Hopefully soon Disney will put it on all the rides too. They might sell more!

I can't wait for the trip to be able to tell you about it!! We are almost down to the 2 month date!!
