Nikki's trip report~Finally Complete! Come read. Pg 25

[Montana Disney Fan]

Blue, I think you'd like PH. There's really nothing to dislike. It's expensive burgers set to movie theme. What could be better?

 

[ILMICKEY]

We woke up bright and early this Monday morning. Blue skies and a strong desire for our favorite park. Epcot!!

We had cereal in the room. Supermom had packed a suitcase full of cereal and noodles and stuff.

After everyone was fed and lookin purdy, we were out the door. No boat ride for us, we were walking. This was starting to get a little painful. The tootsies were getting a little sore, but we motored on.

What a beautiful walk this is!! We felt like special guests, using the "back" door. It was pretty neat to see World Showcase absolutely empty. Man I wish I could have ducked under those ropes just to get some really good pictures with nobody in them.

But I had to be good!!

The first stop of the day is Test Track. The wait was only 20 minutes so we opted for no fast passes. It was still early. We aren't totally above waiting.

I just love this ride. It never ever gets old.

Ohhhhhh Baaaaaby!! I LOVE banking!!!

After we got off the ride we went to check out our pictures. I knew we could get it on our Photopass card. We stood there for about 5 minutes (or until someone else came up) ours never came on the screen!! I was bummed. Jay still says it was because I was taking pictures during the ride and they were punishing me!

We browsed the new cars. Picked out a couple to take home. I was really hoping they had the new Camaro concept car. Nope!!

We left and decided to just make a circle around the Future world. But first we had to go get our Soarin fastpasses.

Robby wanted to ride Mission Space, no one else did, so we left him and got the fastpasses while we waited. By the time we got back he was done.

Next was Ellen. Don't flame me but I like Ellen. Jay does NOT!! But being the good husband he is, he went. After all these years I still like this ride. I do wish they would change it up a bit and get rid of the whole Jeopordy thing. Maybe do something like "Are you smarter than a fifth grader"???

It is a great place to relax for a bit. And I am happy to report nobody got out of the car causing a major shutdown!!

Spaceship Earth was still being rehabbed, so this was a no. Of course I wanted to open the little door to check out what was going on.

Jay wouldn't let me.

I was pretty excited to see Nemo. I haven't before, so I was ready for that. I still miss the ride they had in there before. It felt like Jaws 3 where they were in that tunnel when the shark eaten dead guy popped up and Jaws came and hit the tunnel and everyone screamed and cried and all the doors locked!! Anyway, I liked the old ride.

What a cute que area for Nemo!! VERY beachy! We walk the 10 miles to get into our clam mobile and WHAT!!!

THIS IS IT??????? People should be warned that this is really boring. Not Stitch boring, but boring!!

We really didn't feel like looking at fish so we left.

We found a spot and took a little break. It wasn't quite time for our Soarin return.

After our short break we were up an moving again. I do love me some Soarin. I think they should add all the Countries that have a Disney. That way at the end of the flight, you would always be flying over a castle with fireworks!!

Change it up a bit!!

We also did the Land while we were there. I miss the people! Does EVERYTHING have to be automated???

About this time we were getting pretty hungry. A little Mexican food sounded pretty good!

We walked the rose trail on our way out of Future World.

We had to stop to take a picture of the Christmas tree.

Lunch was pretty good. Kind of messy. I loved that cheese filled thing they had. That was pretty yummy. I'd eat here again!!

It was 1:00, sunny and I was feeling some pool time was in order. Everyone agreed, so we left.

This time we took the boat back. Boardwalk is the VERY first stop!!

We get back, throw on our suits and head off to the pool. There is a little stop I must make before laying my claim to a chair. An ice cold Bud Light!! I'm not much of a drinker so the boys were kind of freaking out on me a little.

Sidenote* I've been the only stable parent in their lives. Their father portrayed me as this drug addicted alchoholic to them and everyone else. Come to find out it had been him all along. So when they see me with a drink, I think they get a little nervous that I will turn the way their father has.

We all got in the pool and played around a bit. For some reason I couldn't convince them to go down the slide. Gosh I wish I had taken my camera out with me.

We had a great time just relaxing and talking. More than anything in the world I love spending time with my kids.

We played for a couple hours and decided to go get ready for dinner!! It was Ohana night!

I really like Epcot, I kind of didn't do it right this time...again, but plans are set for another family trip in October of....2010, it's a ways off, thank god for the Dis though right. Keep on writing and I'll keep on reading.

I well We loved Epcot also that is one reason I want to stay at the boardwalk. The first time we went there in 2001 we did the countries and well never finished (I think there were more countries back then??? Maybe not!) I don't remember finishing them..... Again this time we spent 2 whole days there and STILL WE DID NOT FINISH THE COUNTRIES! I HAVE A PLAN NEXT TIME WE GO WE ARE STARTING FROM THE OTHER END OF THE WORLD. We have always started in Engalnd, I also think the next time we go with no kids and we will drink around the world!!!

World Showcase is the main reason I go to WDW!

Ummmmm, I don't think any of the countries are gone!! Are you sure you didn't already drink around the world??? Maybe saw some new countries like NeverNeverland or Atlantis or Nikkiland while you were drinking around the world???

You have to go through Canada to get to England, did you not see it?? Next time don't drink so much!!! Silly!

I'm not so sure about this as of this morning.

I got up, got around and was walking out the door. I told Robby I just know there is something I am forgetting. I don't normally have this feeling unless I really am forgetting something. I kissed him goodbye, told him I love him and to drive careful.

I get to work, check on a TR and it says "updated March 6".

Well, this just happens to be Robby's 17 birthday. I called him as soon as I realized and apologized profusely.

I'm a Baaaad, baaaad mommy!!

I'm also feeling really old!! Where does the time go??

I think my quest for the next trip will be to just do everything I still missed out on, like some of the shows.

I just can't seem to get into the shows. I guess there was more important things to do !!

We were going to go in October of 2009, bu then it hit me that is Jims senior year, he wants a Les Paul (SP?) for graduation and they are the cost of a Disney trip for 4, so I had to push it back a year. I have to tell you, we went to Frankemuth this weekend. Just Jay and I. It was so dead. We spent most of our time at Birch Run shopping. When we were in Frankenmuth walking through the town, they piped in this really heavy German music. I started attempting to dance. I really had no idea how Germans dance. Jay says don't you remember how Chevy Chase danced in European Vacation? So I start dancing like that. As we were crossing the street, I grabbed Jay and started twirling him.

He made me stop!

We had dinner at the Bavarian Inn. YUCK! Don't recommend it.

It was a nice weekend though. He made up for making me stop dancing by buying me a Coach purse for my November trip.

(I think they were switched in the hospital, how could they not drool for Disney? ) anyway, I have decided to take a solo trip in October 2009, then Coach said she might go too, and then my friend Laura said she would like to go, so it's looking like a girls trip, no kids, is in my future.

I love Frankenmuth, I haven't been in a few years, but I plan to go this summer while I am in Michigan visitin the kinfolk. I love Bronners, always have, but I am thinking that since I have been to Disney around Christmas that I might be let down at Bronners now, everything is compared to Disney.

Fred should have let you dance, it's not like you'll see those people ever again.

When I lived in Germany I belonged to a German/American club, one of the things we learned was a German dance and I can't remember the name of it, I just know it was fun.

Don't you just love the talking birds outside of Nemo? They crack Buzz up. They have just ONE at the Nemo Sub Ride in DLR.... I don't like him as much.

This isn't my picture, but this is exactly what it looked like. I had to quit taking pictures of food. I kept getting "the look". And when it's X3, it's pretty scary!!
Anyhoo, I thought it was VERY tasty!! It was definitely deep fried !!

That was the only time I saw him the whole day. After school he had to go directly to work and then directly to Drama practice. I was in bed when he got home. I did drop some cupcakes off while he was at work! Oh and we took him out to dinner Saturday night. So I think I redeemed myself.
