So this afternoon I was driving home my mother's banana boat of a car (my car was in the shop for repairs) when I noticed I had a voicemail. I listened to it and it was my consultant from Jenny Craig. She told me that the JC headquarters had called this morning asking if they thought I'd be interested in appearing on The Dr. Oz Show next week. She said to call them back ASAP.
I called and spoke to headquarters. I gave my permission and learned about the show. They are going to be taping Dr. Oz's 100th episode anniversary special and are looking to fill the audience with people who lost 100 pounds or more. There is a possibility we'd be interviewed on the show or just appearing in the audience. The producers would call if they were interested after reading my story and seeing my before and after photos.

UPDATE (even before I got to hit the post button):
I just got a call from the producers. They are interested in having me come on the show. At this time, they couldn't give me specifics other than saying I'd be in the audience and it was going to be some type of interactive format. There's a chance my photos could be used/for a brief interview.
I now need to contact my superintendent to see if he'd let me go. KEEP YOUR FINGERS CROSSED!!!!
UPDATE #2: I emailed my superintendent just before dinner. I do not have any personal days left due to my using them in November so we shall see what happens. I have to let the producers know by tomorrow so I'm holding my breath until then.
UPDATE #3: After an INSANE day trying to get in contact with the superintendent, I finally just got word from the principal. I can go, but have to get docked a full day's worth of pay because I already used my allotted personal days for the school year (we get two). I'm really upset about this and am considering not going. I'm not exactly sure what I should do. What do you all think?
UPDATE #4: While I'll be out a few hundred dollars, I'm going to go on Wednesday. Like you all said, it is a once in a lifetime experience so I might regret it if I do not go. Let the planning begin....
UPDATE #5: Things are falling into place nicely! I have my friend joining me and am looking up the show schedule. I'm officialy starting to get excited now. AGGHHHHHH!!! I also just realized that we have chat Wednesday night right after the taping. Woohoo!
