Nighttime Parade

Is there really no night time parade this summer? We weren't planning on going this summer until just recently. I just started reading up on it today. When I checked the calendar, I see there is a new fireworks show but I don't see a nighttime parade. This is one of my favorite parts. I don't care which one. I saw that Main Street Electrical Parade will be at DL. Where is Spectromagic or the parade that used to be at DL-Paint the Night? I hope I am just missing something.

No night parade since late last year. No word on anything new, so no way to know if it's the "new normal".

Spectromagic was destroyed. Paint the Night has been undergoing an extensive refurbishment. Likely guess is that PTN will start again later this year at DL and MSEP will be retired, but that is speculation on my part.

I truly truly hope that any nightime parade comes back when we return to WDW in 20 months.

I really missed the night time parade this year and was hoping Paint the Night would come, but no luck. I love the park at night. Here's hoping they do something to replace it.

Unless they are doing "major surgery" to the physical size of some of the PtN floats (and that would be unlikely), it would not be able to "fit" at MK. There were some rumors going around in early March concerning a possible purchase of a parade from one of the other parks, but they turned out to just be rumors, which are pretty common in the parks. General consensus that we've gotten over the last few months is that it will likely be a long time before we have another night parade, but who knows, things change pretty rapidly some times.

It seems so "empty" for those of us that have worked the night parades for a lot of years and now not having one. Just working day parade, MiSi and Wishes just doesn't seem like enough.

If we see another nighttime parade at WDW it likely won't be until the 50th.

I've seen MSEP and PTN in person but never had a chance to see Spectro Magic live. I think Spectro was the best nighttime parade they've ever done. I've watched so many Spectro videos on YouTube! I love the music, too. I'm hoping they will dream up something good for the 50th. It was weird not having a nighttime parade on our last trip.

I live near Disneyland and I'm less familiar with MK. What are the size issues that would prevent PTN from coming to WDW as-is?

For selfish reasons, I would hope that they don't ship the Disneyland floats to Florida, but rather build a third set of floats (the first set still running in Hong Kong) if they choose to have the parade at MK.
