I'm stressing out over this vacation (9/6 Eastern). I'm now having nightmares about the cruise. How can that be, you ask? Most of them seem to be that I'm a few days into the cruise, and realize I FORGOT to go through the embarkation scramble. I'm so axious to get Palo ressies, I'm now dreaming I don't even try. Chaulk it up to my Type A personality. I also can't wait for 9/6, yet I don't want it to get here b/c then it will be over & I'll have nothing to look forward to (no way I can book another... DH would KILL me). LOL.

you're normal.

now, you say DH would kill you if you booked another one? Is this your first Disney cruise? When we went the first time I thought that it would be the ONLY one we ever went on because I love cruising while my DH went "along for the ride" as they say. Before we got off my DH doubled our DVC points, which we had just purchased a few months before, without telling me (believe me I was OK with it!) so we'd have enough to cruise again sometime! We are now getting ready for our 3rd Disney cruise (no kids this time!) and will book our 4th (Oct. 2, 2004) while on board. The point? you never know what will happen -- maybe HE will book the next one? ;) ;)

This is our 3rd DCL. DH was a deprived child, so he doesn't have wonderful Disney memories like I do. He's getting sick of Disney. Next year's vacation will be to Greece to see his family and Island hop a bit. Trust me... I'm not looking forward to that w/2 little ones. Best chance I have is 2004 or 2005 for another DCL. That's too long to wait IMHO.

Nightmares here too!

I thought I was obsessing about this trip (don't go till Feb) when I started having nightmares too! Have had them the past few nights, in most of them I am a few days into the cruise and realize the kids didn't go to the 411 talk about the clubs the first day or I haven't planned any excursions. How far ahead can you book excursions?

I think it has something to do with the amount of time I spend reading the posts before I go to bed.

I think its all about doing all of the planning beforehand and being able to relax once on the ship. Then there's the thought of booking another trip. didn't even think of that till i started reading these posts. I'm not even there yet and I'm already thinking of when i should book the next one, lol. Would love to do the 10 day but DD will be in her first year of college and I should really be home when she comes home for Christmas.

I always have nightmares as it approaches. I don't remember what the one was 2 years ago but a few nights ago I dreamed the seas were really rough and I forgot to bring any of my seasick medications.

He's getting sick of Disney. Next year's vacation will be to Greece

My DH is the same way (of course we did 4 days in WDW in January and a week at DL beginning of July and now the cruise in August). He says next year is Hawaii.

You could always make a stop at DL on your way to Hawaii ;)

I'm the same way! I over plan everything. I lose sleep and worry constantly for weeks. We're not travelling until January and I my "schedule" (my family laughs at my lamenated schedules!!!) is already up to two pages with things to call for and things I need to make reservations for during our 4-day land/3-day sea vacation.

BUT, with all the worry, comes the payoff! Our vacations are always amazing! Type A Personality = A+ Disney vacation!

Both cruises, for a few weeks prior to the date, I repeatedly dreamed that we got all of the way to the port & I had forgotten our birth certs. Sometimes it's just mine - sometimes all of ours.

I already expect to have the dreams this time. So I'm prepared!!
