Nightmare Before Christmas/Haunted Mansion Question

I'm thinking about taking my son to DLR for his birthday. His birthday is Dec. 31st and he really wants to see the Nightmare before Christmas/Haunted Mansion attraction. I've been to DLR one time and he has never gone.

My question is...how long is the Haunted Mansion ride decorated in the Nightmare Before Christmas style? Is it a Halloween only thing? I'm trying to figure out the best time to go without getting the large holiday crowds.

Any ideas?

It's from mid September to the first or second week of January.

If you don't want crowds, don't go for his actual birthday, that's for sure!

Certainly the holiday overlay (and all holiday decorations) will be up through the first weekend of January. The exact schedule will not be announced for months, the Halloween schedule is still unannounced
