Hi everyone! I was wondering if anyone had some good ideas for notes, messages etc. that they would be willing to share. We are staying for 6 nights and instead of spending a bunch of $ on souvenirs when we get there, I purchased things in advance and housekeeping agreed to set them out during turn-down service. I'm just blanking on creative and cute ideas! I just thought it would be fun for the kids to come back to the room and find a note from a Disney character hinting and teasing them about the next day's plans (they are all kind of in the dark about what we are doing LOL). Thanks in advance!

What kind of things did you buy? That would help us give you some ideas. The Creative DISigns board has a lot of invitations for character meals or special experiences. The wonderful designers will even personalize them, so you'd have a note to you DD from Cinderella, inviting her to breakfast at the castle (along with the dress you brought from home). I've done things along those lines.

I don't mean to sound critical of your plan, but I don't think I'd rely on housekeeping to put out the gifts. There's just too much room for error (they might simply forget, or someone else might be filling in and not know about it, or maybe they grab the wrong one for that day, etc.) "Tink" has always left notes and gifts for our girls, and I just put them out after they fall asleep, so they'll find them in the morning, or DH starts walking them to the bus while I make an excuse that I forgot something or have to go to the bathroom to get a minute in the room alone.

I like the idea of going back to the room- the thing is there are 8 of us and I really can't plan out when we'll be back etc. But, maybe I can adjust it. We are staying a suite with separate rooms so I might be able to "discover" them before the kids do in different places. Thanks for the heads up. I had spoken with the club level about it and they were happy to do it but I never thought about someone filling in. Since turn-down is included they said I could drop that days "stuff" off before 4PM. I'm definitely double thinking it, I think my brain is just Disney-clouded since we are only 10 days out...

Ah, well you're probably ok then. I'm guessing the level of service you'll be getting at a club level suite is a bit different than I get at AS values. ;-) They can definitely handle the special requests. It will make the trip magical for you little ones!

We did something similar on our last trip, only we put the notes out ourselves each night while the kids were asleep.

Each morning the woke up to a note from mickey telling us about what we would be doing, which park he would be at that day, and once inviting us to join him for breakfast.

It was a huge success and helped make our vacation extra magical!

I Google imaged Disney world logo for letterhead and mickeys signature. Good luck!!
