We are heading to Disney on 2/24. On 2/25 WDW website lists MK as open until 11 p.m. with evening EMH. Does that mean that MK will really be open until 2 a.m.? Really? Also, on 2/26 MGM's regular hours end at 8 p.m....with evening EMH does that mean that MGM will really stay open until 11? If so, I'll be riding all the mountains, TOT and RandR all night....gives new meaning to the term "wee hours of the morning!" WHEEEE! :hyper:

The reason I ask is that the website says that evening EMH can be "up to 3 hours"...but I was wondering if that can be counted on, so to speak.

Thanks!

Yes, it's really that late. It does seem a little early for them to have such extended hours. MK tends to be one park that's open pretty late. During spring break season, it will stay open until midnight many nights, which means evening EMH ends at 3 a.m.

And on our upcoming March trip, MGM is open until 10:30, with EMH that same evening, so it will be open until 1:30 am. I won't be staying that late, but it's open.

Yep! In December MK was open til midnight one night (with the EMH) and we were so excited, we thought for sure we'd be able to stay up. Wrong! By 10:30 we were dragging, kids were DONE, and everyone was getting cranky. We got lucky that night tho - EMH was virtually empty - we walked on every single ride over & over. I've heard that EMH can actually be more crowded than during the day, but that was not the case for us that night. BTMRR was closed for repairs, that was our only disappointment, since that is both DSs favorite ride.

I have never understood the "up to three hours" disclaimer.Evening EMH is ALWAYS three hours long.PARTY ON!:)

Yes. Those are the two best EMH nights that week -- I'm going for the same week - Feb 25 to March 03.

Not only was the park open until 3:ooAM to preserve the moment we took family photos, pretending to be sleeping around the clock on mainstreet with the time showing 3:15. Best photo yet...

If I'm not mistaken, MK with EMH was open until 4 am on July 3 last year.

It's open late, and it's fun to be there that late.

We took a "pretend to be sleeping" photo too!

we got to stay in MK till 2 am!!!!!! it was the BEST NIGHT EVER!!! we didn't go into the park till a little later because we knew we had a few extra hours... and we skiped the rides that were going to be open during EMH so we got on all the rides!! more than once! The only bad thing is it was really hard to get up for the EMH for the AK the next day!! hahah have fun!

Woo-whee!:cool1: Okay, so I have to make sure that everyone naps on Sunday so that we can be riding the mountains at 2 a.m. ....although, since I haven't stayed up to 2 a.m. since, um, 1990 sometime this may be impossible! :confused3 Technically we could leave MK at 2 a.m the Sunday night/Monday morning, sleep, arrive at AK just 6 hours later for a.m. EMH on Monday morning and end the night at 11 p.m. at MGM....that's true commando style! Not going to happen, though.

But I definitely will be riding the TOT at 11 p.m.on 2/26 :scared1:

One minor correction - the 25th.. the WDW website only lists the park as open till 10pm... not 11pm as you stated above. That means that after EMH is over the park will close at 1am. Not 2am.

Thanks,

J

Just want to point out for those who haven't done EMH... my experience was that MGM and Epcot big ticket rides were PACKED during EMH. My suggestion is to do those during the day with a fast pass. We thought to wait and do RNRC, TOT, and TT during EMH, but with a 2 hr wait, we ended up not getting to ride them at all. We were there just before July 4, so crowds were a little heavier, but still... those 2 parks close many things early, and crowds are concentrated in certain areas.

The absolute BEST EMH is during relatively low traffic weeks to begin with.

The crowds on Sunday, Feb 25th will be reasonably large ... BUT by 11pm will start to thin. By midnight or 12:30... you should be able to walk on just about any major ride without much wait.
